Crawley has brought in an emergency goalie loan from Millwall, same young lad they had on loan earlier in the season. Weak lineup tonight at Burton. I’m guessing MD will be at the game tonight.

Really looking forward to a lads day out. Train. Few beers. Old fashioned stadium ( no offence intended ). Standing behind goal. Normal sort of place etc etc.

Very confident of a win. We need a big reaction and to move on from Tamworth, we are not as bad as that performance.
Crawley have less rest and prep time, have the joint worst GA in the division, the worst GD and have just signed an emergency loan goalkeeper that at the age of 28 has made only 54 appearances (including some in the national league north and Premiership 2) and has yet managed to concede 101 goals.
Anything less than a Town win is untenable isn't it?

This is an important game. If I am any League One team I watched on Friday and thought; "this lot are as weak as water, get in there faces, push them back and they have got nothing". To be fair based on Friday no one could really argue.
I personally have doubts about the mental strength of this group, their togetherness and there are a couple of areas that lack consistent quality. Thy have however shown at times so far this season they are capable.
Saturday is almost a must win game, or at the very least put in a 100% committed and together performance (noting you don't always get what you deserve in football).
January is a long way away and we can't afford any, or very few, pitiful efforts like Friday.

Crawley have played two tough away games since Town played last Friday so our lads should be rested & raring to go win at a canter........ , who am I kidding. Hopefully scrape a 1-0 victory?

Are this bunch mentally strong enough to go to Crawley and get something? God forbid they hear a nasty word shouted from the crowd, that could finish them off. I've never known such a bunch of fragile players, they probably have trigger warnings and safe spaces to cope. Grow a pair, get in their faces, wear the shirt with pride and come home with a convincing win. Unbeaten in 4 games, a point off playoffs and four points off automatic suggests they are mentally strong enough to go away and win at a proper shit Crawley side.........my mates who are Crawley fans aren't even going as they say it too depressing to watch........ Tbf, 3 of those games were at home, in the away game at Wrexham the players looked terrified in the first half before coming out with a bit of bottle second half. In the Tamworth game they folded like a hot Mars bar. We're now 7 points off the autos with a worse goal difference, being a point off the playoffs is hardly an achievement either.

A game they need to be winning, simple as that. Yes we as fans expect to win most weeks in this division. Get used to it and deal with it or find another job/career.
And by the way, if it's another piss poor performance, expect some well earned abuse from the poor buggers who have traipsed down to Crawley.

Scott Simpson is named referee, never done a Town game & has just one Crawley game on record at Broadfield last December when they lost to Mansfield 3-1, quite a few booking that day including two in the same minute for one Crawley player (Jay Williams) who was sent off......Just one yellow card (CM) for Town in our last two games.

Heat it, fold it, cool it. I’ve tried this several times now and it just snaps or becomes a mess.

Lonwijk and (incredibly, given how little he's been actively involved) Evans just a card away from a suspension.

All I have to say is that it is a must win game between two poor teams. We will need a striker and a new director of football and the manager is not good enough.

Danny Ward has been off sick this week. FFS, the guy is taking the absolute p*ss out of the club and it's fans. No doubt he'll have another holiday booked imminently and will pick up another back/calf/thigh injury.

Based off that press conference I’d imagine it’s maybe Chapman Spencer Pearson Lonwijk Turton Kasumu Kane Millet Wiles Marshall Koroma/Healey
Potentially lees instead of Spencer and Spencer at wing back as before the cup game.Or potentially Spencer as wing back and turton in the back 3 with Pearson central. The rest I’d be fairly certain of predicting.

I could be completely wrong on this, but listening to Duff’s press conference it seems he had hard words to say to at least one player and he didn’t seem overly impressed with the reaction. I’m guessing that player was Radulovic, particularly as there was a strong hint that Healey will play.
No excuses for Town. Crawley have lots of injuries themselves, no natural right or left back available in midweek, with midfielders Kelly and Forster having to play there. Best defender Flint also probably still missing, captain Jay Williams possibly having to play through a knee injury.

We've got 6 strikers, how many more do we need? It's the supply that's thd problem. Even though I said what I said about the strikers, we probably do need a striker and a midfielder who is a leader.

It's the most pissed off, well maybe the first I have seen him pissed off, I have seen Duff......if that was the most embarrassing and poor result of his entire career (!) on Friday, that says a lot.......the reaction at the weekend will tell us a LOT about the players and Duff's man management..............
