Brilliant comedian. He was the Captain in Phoenix Nights, died shortly after the filming of it I believe. He was friends with my Grandfather and Uncle and the comedian at my Mum and Dads, aunty and uncles wedding. We have it recorded on VHS (remember them?) and I’ve watched them back and he was brilliant. My Grandfather asked him on both occasions not to do any rude jokes due to the amount of ladies there so Cedi opened his act with an oral sex joke, brought the place down in hysterics. Ah fond memories - stopped over in Blackpool at a fleapit Bed And Breakfast for a Town game - went luxury on that trip and paid an extra £2 for the Goblin Teasmaid

Very very dry. Not to everyone's tastes but whenever I've seen him on Mock The Week and other stuff he's made me (not literally) piss myself. He knows what he's doing. I saw him do his 'Moments of Alun' set at Edinburgh a few years ago and it was pretty great (I was able to tell him as much when I bumped into him outside the away end at Charlton a few months later).

Just got back. Impressed with the work they've done on the space. Comedy could definitely work there, and "An Evening With" nights will defo work. The realistic capacity rules out the bigger names being viable but I think we can justify high-ish profile names. Looks like it's a go-er, sp watch this space for "Live from H Town" early in 2025.

None of the above - 44.32% at present. I'm interested to know what they want to happen at H Town on non-match days. Because if it is utilised on match days only, it will basically be money down the drain. The question is 'which model of comedy night takes your fancy?' I voted none of the above because I wouldn't attend any of them, that doesn't mean I don't want it to succeed because obviously I hope it does both for the club and gag_n_bone_man but it's just not my thing. Presumably 40 odd % of people feel the same. In that scenario, I'm just surprised people bother with the poll at all if it's not something they would attend anyway. I might be in the minority with that.

Perhaps we should form a DATM comedy act and put ourselves forward for a open mike session !
