I reckon you've just named 3 of the 10 highest rated strikers by Town fans over the last 20 years

I can't remember anyone giving him grief for being crap. If there were, they must have been crayon eaters.

Captain Steve & his Benin national side are looking good for the ANC finals taking place in Morocco next year, they just need a point from the final game away to Libya.....Mounie has played every minute of the group games so far scoring twice.

Popular at the time but Vaughan perhaps is not as well regarded now as some other former players? Was quality in that loan season.

I always liked Lee Novak. Worked hard and chipped in with some crucial goals. Wish we had a striker like him at the moment

I tend to think that Karlan Grant gets a bit forgotten.
He's our best performing striker at Championship level in many years yet rarely gets discussed alongside the likes of Nahki, Vaughan, etc.

I personally thought Mounie was overrated. His movement was so poor and unless the ball was delivered on top of him he rarely got to it.

I still think if we can keep Healey fit for a good run of games he can make a big difference this season. Minutes wise he's got a better than 1 in 2 for us so far.
He came through some very robust challenges on Tuesday, picked himself up and ended up bagging the winner.
Keeping him fit could be the difference in making the playoffs or not.

I personally thought Mounie was overrated. His movement was so poor and unless the ball was delivered on top of him he rarely got to it. Peaked in his opening game. we walked out of Selhurst Park thinking we had a 50 million pound striker that we got cheap. To be fair to him he always gave it his best & off the field had an impeccable attitude (unlike some), he's managed to carve out a decent career with those attributes too........Currently on a 3 year contract for Augsburg FC in the German Bundesliga.

Used to drive me nuts watching us losing with Schofield and Pav sat on the bench, or Jacko's naughty step.

I almost got nicked on the walk back into Cheltenham but luckily a pretty WPC came to my rescue & let me off, the B&W donation stayed in my pocket too when I went renew my SC (wasn't the only one apparently). Even though it cost an arm & leg the play off campaign was probably one of the best, great days out in Lincoln & Cardiff (Don't tell Pawel).......MD was in the Cheltenham side that we drew with.

For me this guy has to be up there Any more? Maybe Luke Beckett, Pawel abbott, nahki wells All of the players you’ve mentioned were never underrated by town fans. All good players who knew where the back of the net was. One of the most underrated forwards still plays for us now. Danny Ward makes town look and play like a different team. He puts in the hard yards, picking up the ball from deep and making space for others and creates chances for the team. When he plays we are more positive going forward and create more chances.

Alan Gowling never really got the recognition that his contributions deserved. Perhaps because he wasn’t Frank Worthington.

Derek Stokes. Recognised by England U23s, but not really a big favourite with the terrace siders.

Martin Smith.
Scored goals for fun from nothing...but suffered lack of recognition due to being part of a relegation team.

Martin Smith. Scored goals for fun from nothing...but suffered lack of recognition due to being part of a relegation team. I remember one in particular, away at Swindon. It was when people were collecting in buckets outside the ground,Town in administration. 25 yard bullet. Good player, just not Marcus Stewart.

Amazing what being a good human and having a great song can do! He was bobbins, slow with poor movement, could head it but was never clever or quick enough to get on the end of any crosses! Never a PL striker in a million years. Really poor signing although pales into insignificance at the side of the other absolute shyte we purchased! Depoitre was a much better signing, evidenced by the fact we were able to get shut after relegation. Better song too De de de de de, de de de de de...happy days hearing that ring out as we were beating Man Utd, feels like it was just just a dream
