Not agreeing or disagreeing with any of this but want to make the point that transfer fees are not as significant anymore it seems. It is all about the wage budget. Not sure about the quality of them, but I have never known Town have 6 ‘senior’ strikers. I’m sure we have had six strikers in a squad before but would expect 2-3 have been academy lads who have made the step up. I’m sure the budget for the wages for the current crop of Bojan, Marshall, Koroma, Healey, Ward and Ladapo is right up there in this league. We may not have made marquee signings but I’ll bet our Kev is shelling out some right coin subsidising the wages of the current squad Exactly. Seems we’ve gone for quantity over quality, which is just a baffling decision in a key position. Ladapo had all the hallmarks of being about as bad a signing as we’ve made since the play-off final. Precisely why a change is needed. Kevin's money is being squandered, if we get stuck in this league the budget will shrink year on year. Wasting time and money, going nowhere with the current sub standard setup. No doubt he'll be wasting another few million in January. Honestly what has he got to show for his outlay so far? It's pitiful. There's zero value in any of them!

I'd rather have a shit ground and a decent team. Though there is some truth for all of us in that statement, it’s not realistic, a shite business model and a dated thought. We need to build from the ground up. Football is just a cycle for many teams, promotion, relegation, mid table, rinse and repeat. We’ve now turned a corner where before and after game activities have become the norm and part of the business plan. I want a decent team too mate but that will come. It always does, in cycles.

Just add salt. Everything tastes better with salt. The salt in the case, being replacing Cartwright with someone competent.

I've always been a little bit sceptical as to why KN initially got involved in Town. Quite why an American who had probably never heard of Huddersfield wanted to but a club who generally loses money hand over fist still baffles to me this day. I look at it and I think Nagle was probably sold a dream and he got involved as a business opportunity first. I think the timing was right for Hoyle and we'd not long been in the Play Off Final vs Forest with a squad that cost very little to put together. I think Nagle was told this would be easy to replicate and he saw an opportunity to get involved with the idea of being able to spend very little and replicate that season and get the Premier League and then benefit from the riches that brings. His earlier posts on Twitter suggested this was his thinking and he'd argue with anyone and everyone who told him it might not be as easy as that. I do now think that over time he has come to have an affinity with Huddersfield Town, which is great, and has probably now realised that it will take a lot more than he imagined to get Town back to the Premier League, a feat now ever more difficult after relegation to League One. I think his heart is in the right place, and he has clearly invested in the stadium and is looking to maximise its potential in terms of bringing in extra income while also adding value to the Club in terms of having the stadium as an asset. It will be interesting to see how the stadium situation ends and where it will sit within the structure of the club. This appears to be the main strategy as it stands while the football side seems to plod along. January will be a big indicator as to how ambitious he is in terms of the playing side of things, especially if we are pushing top 6 and he has said publicly he want automatic promotion. Will he back his words with actions? Time will tell. I'm still very much 50/50 with him, and how he goes about things and still worry as to how this will all end, but hoping Kevin can find success during his time with HTFC. While I understand your perspective mine is different and is that he came into Town as a sport lover who found English football exciting and after a life acquiring money has got to the age when he wants a bit of fun and the challenge.
