the stewards and police today were a complete and utter joke!
cant stand up and sing for the team even when were 3-0 down. But the Mk dons fans stood up for the whole 90 minutes without being asked to sit down. When the club ask for the "singing section" to give it their all, how are we supposed to with the stewards telling everybody to sit down and if you argue that mk dons fans are stood up they kick you out!
on top of this the performance today was an utter discrace! its out centenary year and with all the signings stan's made we should not be losing 3-1 at home. we were lucky only to lose my that score!
i and all town fans expect and deserve better from both club and the staff working in the ground!

Sorry, but even if you'd had all 13,000 odd Town fans in the ground today singing their heads off, standing or sitting, you wouldn't have come up with a better result than what we got.
Cos most of those on the pitch today simply weren't good enough, certainly not as good as the opposition were, & no amount of singing can alter THAT.

Everything you did you had a Police officer with a Steward warning you about crap.

Basically the police and stewards did what the team were doing on the pitch, and getting the fans to leave in droves. I saw someone get taken out for standing up just once, and I know from previous games that they don't normally stand up, it was as if they had been told to get rid of as many fans as possible. They wanna take a look at their own lives for a moment, all they do is go to work to annoy as many people as possible. The steward nearest me actually stood near some people and literally two seconds after they had stood up to sing/shout, they told em to sit back down again.

stewards today were completely ott. As has been said town fans were being threatened to be kicked out whilst mk fans were allowed to stand throughout.

In Your season ticket Youl see this..
Persistant standing in seated areas at sporting events will lead to eviction.
WHY THE FUCK ISNT THE SAME AT THE GIANTS?
The key word is "Persistant". I thought that means basically standing for along period of time, I saw people standing when town were on the attack and being threatened to be kicked out. Surely it isn't right...

Get a proper job, get a proper job !! Jumped up green jacket wearing tossers... They know they have the coppers behind them so give it large... There were none at half time though stopping people smoking which was strange ? Was in corner next to away fans.

I happen to sit on the very last seat on row D in the Kilner bank - i.e next to the steps (away fan end). I have to say the stewarding/policing was the most ridiculous I have seen in the stadium - key highlights: * Guy on the 2nd row thrown out in first half as they "thought" he had a "stadium ban". He admitted that he had been told this but never had it in writing. The copper in charge (PC 2200) told him it wasn't up for debate and he had to go. * When other people were threatened with eviction /evicted, I asked PC2200 why the need for a heavy handed approach. He replied "It is all about stopping chaos becoming anarchy"!!!! . * A guy made a one fingered gesture after a MK dons goal - he was thrown out. PC2200 instructed the steward to throw him out - no discussion/warning. * Upon my asking why MK Dons fans were allowed to stand, he (PC2200) asked what my job was and if I would like advice on doing my job. He said he did not welcome advice on "police strategy". I remarked "you have a strategy for today? Does that include people getting coined due to heavy handed tactics". He replied with another stupid comment on how he had been praised by the stadium security team!!! *Another PC commented saying we were lucky that we didnt have to work with PC2200!!! All in all it was a ridiculous situation which was brought about by this particular copper who seemed hell bent on throwing people out. I suggested his job title should be "entertainment prevention officer", he replied with some nonsense about football league rules on no standing WHATSOEVER. I told him the ruling is "persistant standing", he told me there is no place for people with just ideas on how to do things!!!! !! So all I say is if anybody has any links with the club, please review whats happening, today was the worst I have ever experienced. The police encouraged the stewards to throw people out and warn people for nothing more than standing / having a good time. PC2200 will be there on Wednesday, he told me himself. He is a miserable looking Tw!t. Please pass on some advice on police tactics, he loves it!!!!!

I think I know which police guy you were talking about, who does he think he is really. He is obviously enjoying the fact he is in a dead end job trying to order about people trying to have a good time. My response is always the same, I ask them how it makes them feel when someone who is only young is earning twice what they are on, they love that even more. Being in the police is the best job for people like him, it gives them the chance to ruin peoples fun because they are power mad or jealous. Absolute waste of space, and the stewards, well I can't say anymore than what everyone has said already, completely and utter idiots.

He was a joke!! It was easy to see from kick off that he was hell bent on kicking people out. I tried to explain that what he and the Group 4 jokers were doing was winding people up. If you leave the few who are trying to make a point, they will get bored. Please bring back "bald headed Andy" who seems to have been dumped into the south stand. The lady "chief steward" who has a look of Delia about her seemed genuinely frustrated with the situation and I felt sorry for the Town staff. Why are we employing outside agencies who have no understanding of what needs to be done??? I will tell "PC2200" that I am unhappy that my £100 season ticket money is being spent on his wages - he should be on car park duty!

the match today was bad enough but i thought the stewards made it worse. a mate of mine was kicked out for standing up and thats all he did. i think something should be done because im not putting up with the next 21 games. and i asked if they'd be doing it on wednesday they said yes. good post anyways.

think this requires alot of people gettin their points across to SJ via email and such like,as clearly this is becomin worse by the match-the plod need telling how to do the job properly because clearly theyre incapable of doing it without letting power go to their heads,n if they cant do the job properly, they should be told to f*** off n do sumthin they are capable of doing right-never heard so many chants in 1 game of 'get a proper job'-the stewards didnt seem to do nethin to help the situation, but certainly the plod dont seem to have a clue, and dont seem capable of doin their job properly-hopefully if the same happens on wednesday, fans wont take matters into their own hands n start fights with the plod due to frustration-id say get SJ emailed and see what he can do,as they really are ruinin things now

There was one young 'cuckoo' of a steward at the back of the Antich who took great pleasure in getting a Town fan evicted. As he returned to his position having evicted the 'standing' supporter he smiled to his colleague and looked as smug as hell. He then started on his next victim who was stood on the very last row interfering with no-one's view. I made a point of asking him what his problem was with this individual and he said "i've got to be seen to be doing something i told him to act like a grown up steward ask him once and shut the **** up. His elderly partner then gestured for police but was called down to the front and by reading the conversation from afar i think was told to calm down. They were a pain in the arse though.

Could clearly see the attitiude of the police and stewards from where we were standing (literally) in the away end. We had similar problems at home to Northhampton last weekend when home fans were hassled, and in some cases ejected, while Cobblers fans stood throughout. There was even a strong warning against standing in the programme last week, and it seems that somebody, somewhere, wants home clubs taking responsibility for the vertical positioning of their fans. Have to say it seems unbalanced and unfair, especially as we were allowed to stand throughout with no threat of ejection. Anyway - Couple of sites you may be interested in on the back of this situation... www.petitiononline.com/standup/petition-sign.htmlwww.standupsitdown.co.uk Good luck.

Never mind E-Mailing Sean Jarvis. If we'd have won handsomely and everything in the garden was rosy, he'd have probably been on here (in his own time as well!......Whoopeedoo!) giving it large about the club going forward, investing in the team, familiy club etc...etc..etc.....etc......etc....and other such P.R / Marketing guff,
So, Mr. Jarvis, the garden is not very rosey at the moment. You read this board and use it as a vehicle for your propaganda, I'm sure you've read this thread........have you anything to say regarding the matters in hand?

I haven't sat down during a game home or away for years, the whole Revie stand remains standing for the full 90 minutes. The stewards make a token effort to get the first few rows to sit but get so much abuse they give up after about 10 minutes.
If everyone stands they have no chance of getting you to sit down, stand up to them a bit more.
