Dear all
Firstly thanks to all of the supporters that purchased the pink shirts and consequently contributed to the local charity. Apologies also to those supporters who missed out... which brings me on to the posting.
The pink shirts were an idea we had at the begining of the season and were unsure of the popularity and response we would get when we eventually brought them out (3 months to produce). Having put them on sale last week, to be honest, we were all taken aback by how quickly they sold (less than 7 hours to sell out).
However since they have sold out we have had a number of comments and emails for people wanting to get their hands on them. As this was a limited edition (only 88 produced - due to the cloth ordered) we are faced with a bit of a dilema and I am keen for some supporter feedback.
On one hand we want to keep this a limited edition and not 'overdo' the pink shirts and of course respect the supporters that have bought them. On the other hand because of the response a local charity is arguably missing out on us producing another limited run.
Should we undertake another run - we would look to place a pre order system in place and they would not be availble till end of Jan (I guess in time for Valentines Day).
In order for us to proceed I would welcome some comments.
Cheers
Sean

To keep the initial run of shirts 'special' why not try charity pink and white scarves? (in time for Valentines Day would solve more than one dilemna!).
Or to raise more money for charity, what are the chances in the team actually playing a match in pink and white, and then auctioning those off ?

The charity could get greater exposure and a lot more funding? Just an idea!

Although the Shirts were meant to be Limited Edition, Im sure the Supporters who have already purchased them won't be too aggreived with some more been made as it is for a Very Good Cause.
I myself would have loved to get one for my other half so would certainly look to pre-order one if another batch was produced.
The club working with Local Charities can surley only be a good thing.

Really good idea for the club and also for the charity... How ever i did find that the way people got hold of them was rather unfair/un-organised You could (apparently) ring and reserve a shirt ... I did this for a friend and i was told that he could come and pay for it tommorow or pay over the phone. He rang the next day and was told that the shirt had been sold and the woman who he was talking to just said 'nothing we can do , high demand' I was quiet shocked at this but anyway Good idea

Morning Mr J.
The missus is well chuffed with her pink shirt.
I know plenty of people who were gutted to have missed out and I'm pretty sure if you were to produce a few more they'd sell just as well.
The pre-order system sounds a good idea.

Why not something a bit different - a recreation of the old Gola red and black electric hoops shirt would go down well I reckon.

I'd was dissapointed to miss out and would certainly order one. I don't think too many fans would mind about them not being quite as 'limited' I think the appeal was more that it was something a bit different, unique and not something the team will be wearing every other week,

I think we defo need to make some more, im getting a severe ear bashing from the missus who is town nuts that i didnt get her one, and it is for a good cause , so i dont think that the supporters who already have bought one would have an issue.

IMO would not think there would be any objection to doing another run of these, and given the positive cause it supports, am all for it. Even more so as I missed out on getting one for member of the family. Only shame is that it sounds like it could not be done in time for Christmas.

Why not increase the limited edition to 1908 (or is that too optimistic?)? But on a pre-order basis only.
I would have loved to have bought a couple for my daughters

There are three of us who would definately buy them. We were disappointed that we couldn't get the first ones but none of work in Huddersfield and could get to the shop but we would all pre-order a new batch. Good on yer Sean.

Why not gauge interest by operating a pre order system with maybe a small deposit/advertised at the game/in the programme.
That way you'll know how many to order and no one can say they haven't had the opportunity!!
I know these might not seem as exclusive, but I can't see the demand being massive and no one is gonna complain if it's for charity!!
Well there maybe one or two but we are talking about Town fans here!!! ;D

I managed to get one for my daughter, there were only 5 small ladies left, over the phone and paid at that point. It would be unfair to keep them back without pre payment as they were so limited.
My son missed out and thus a debate,in the pub, after the game ensued as my daughter was wearing the shirt.General consensus was that it should remain a limited addition but perhaps a 1000 would be an acceptable figure so as to keep it special and the charity would obviously benefit.

I saw a very few pink shirts on Saturday, and I have to say they looked great - I'd certainy buy one. As mensioned above a small deposit just to suss the level of interest would be good - it would also keep their exclusivity by ensureing they don't go on general sale.

Cheers Sean I didn't know anything about these special edition shirts until I read your post.Bristol Rovers did exactly the same thing about 4 years ago and for the same charity. The shirts all sold on the same day but I am not sure if they made any more. They are still worn with pride and still look good on the Bristol girls!!!If more were made I would definitely order one for my wife and daughter.I also support other suggestions on here such as playing one game this season in the shirt and putting a charitable message on the front.I don't suspect Casino Red would object.

Hi Sean
Please do another run i got so much grief for not getting the wife one saw a few worn on saturday and they looked good.
I would pay to pre order one out of another run.
To get round the limited edition element cos it would annoy me if i had got one of the first run as a collector for then another run to be made is to do a minor change could be as simple as the tag in the collar been different to differentiate which was limited and which one is a second edition wither a bigger manufacture run.
Just to finish PLEASE make more thank you.

Anyone miffed about the fact that more are being produced is completely missing the point. ie charitiy!
Can we have a bigger range in sizes though Sean, would love to get my daughters one, they're 1 and 4. Girls sizes would be a great seller I reckon, especially if they were out for xmas ?
