With me not being a student for the first ever year, the same for at least 10 of the lads i sit with, the majority of us will all be sitting in the FM lower next season. All relocating from the current singing section. The prices are too good to turn down.
Im positive that a hell of a lot of like minded people will be doing the same and by no means will we be completely surrounded by families. Im also positive it will sell out, and the only people who seemed to be bothered by the Cowshed Loyals presence on Saturday were the families who turned up with banners to watch the cheerleaders. And they wont be there next season.
Not complaining, just saying it how i see it. Im very grateful that we have the opportunity to go in the South Stand and prior to this season the FM lower wasnt even an option for ST's.

Im in exactly the same situation and i think the club is taking the complete wrong approach to this as it isn't going to work as a family stand what parents are going to come to the football sit in a stand with no cover with young kids not many so i think it should be only upper tier that is the family stand and leave the lower tier to become what it becomes (the singing section) i cant wait to see how they try and rectify this little mishap probably eject us all at first game of the season for singing

Any retraction of the offer (£99) or ejecting fans due singing would be very embarrassing and would probably undo a lot of the good work that has happened behind the scenes.

Any retraction of the offer (£99) or ejecting fans due singing would be very embarrassing and would probably undo a lot of the good work that has happened behind the scenes. CORRECT!!!!£99 does sound good and a whole lot better than £249 but this isn,t our fault is it...that bottom stand should be filled with singers,,,,,i like to be in the thick of the atmosphere and be able to support the team like i know how WITHIN REASON,,,,the antich is crap,,,,,its too big in my opinion and very hard to get involved in the singing which is only up at the top...the club as dropped a clanger and hundreds of people want to move there because for 1 its a giveaway at £99 and for another reason it could be the new cowshed PROVIDING THE STEWARDS AND POLICE POLICE IT RIGHT WHICH I DOUBT THEY WILL....i will be phoning up tommorow for my orient ticket and a season ticket in the fm lower,,,,,if somebody deosent like me singing and supporting the boys and jumping about when we score THEN THEY WILL HAVE TO MOVE!!!!!this is how away tickets should be distributed ,a noisy side which anything goes,or the quite side where people can just clap there hands,,,i,v nowt AGAINST ANYONE BIENG QUITE its up to the person in question but i personally would rather sit next to someone wearing a hoody than someone with a flask ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;Dthats why i never knock our chav contingent because we have all been young once and still am ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D i like noisy buggers who jump on me and stand on my toes when we score,,,,,HUUDERS TIL I DIE

Will you still be going in Pozza, after this news? Yes mate, cant afford to buy one anywhere else even if I wanted to. Just been down to get it now as it goes. Asked the bird who served me how many we'd sold in't FM Lower and she told me "quite a lot" She also said that most of them were people re-locating from other stands, and they expect it near enough sell out. I asked what sorts of tickets had been sold within the stand but she could tell me as it just showed a sold seat on the computer. She did say a lot of "people like me" had been down to swap over. Now I bought 4 adults & a childs, so reading into what she has said it seems to me a lot of adult tickets have been sold in there.

The club might want it to be a family stand but i can tell you now it wont be. Families wont have had chance to buy in there as it seems all the younger lads have beaten em to it thankfully. I will be in DG lower again but it will be great if it can be turned in to the new cowshed, will be an awesome sight both in person and on the highlights

I got made redundant recently so It's FM Lower or nothing at all for me.
Sean this is a massive error in judgement on many levels. For a start if you're trying to attract new supporters to the club why would you want to put them in the cheapest stand with supposedly the worst view where the liklihood is that you're going to get piss wet through if it rains... How many kids are going to be game for that when it's monsoon season!? Seems a sure fire way to put people off rather than putting them in a stand worthy of the family stand tag such as the DGL (towards the north stand where hardly anyone sits) where the experience is far more comfortable and befitting of a family atmosphere...
All football clubs have a vocal end behind the goal as well - the Kop at Liverpool, The Stretford end at Man Utd to name but 2. Why should Huddersfield Town fans be denied of the opportunity to get behind the team from behind the goal? Poz and I even mentioned at a meeting with yourself how we would try and eventually get the vocal supporters to relocate in the FM Lower if it mean't not having the South Stand permanently and as we're about to do that and start to turn the FM lower into a stand of which gets behind the team like the old cowshed days we're to be denied...
I just don't see the marketing possibilities for the FM Lower as a family stand - it's not even a proper stand with any permanent food/drink facilities other than a couple of mobile kiosks... It's facilities are very poor compared to the rest of the ground and yet it's aimed towards families... Families of which tend to have young children who's season tickets are that cost effective they are more likely to seek the comfortable surroundings of the other stands...
A ridiculous decision if you ask me.

The whole ground more or less is a 'family section'. Young kids get is for almost nowt everywhere in the stadium so I struggle to see why a specific area should be created for 'families'.
I, like most apparently, saw the £99 offer as being aimed at people who couldn't afford the £249 like the unemployed, young, or cronically tight. Never once thought of it as a family area so if that was what the club intended, they've made a balls-up of promoting it as such.

Moan, moan, moan, moan, moan, moan, moan, moan, moan, moan. Seems nobody can do right for doing wrong round here at the moment. Everyone behind the scenes is bending over backwards for the supporters of this club, and still they are met with pessimism, negativity and 'I know best' attitudes. Keep up the good work behind the scenes SMJ1 and don't get disheartened. I have never read such a sh*8te pompous condescending arrogant pile of crap in my life as this post. The football industry in general and (given our years of under achievement) Huddersfield Town in particular should thank whichever god they believe in every night that they have supporters as loyal to their product as they have got. If any restaurant, supermarket or company in any industry had made me as angry as Town have done many times over the years then I would have stopped using that company years ago never mind travel 165 miles plus every other week to "enjoy" their product & as far chucking money into begging bowls to help ensure their existence - well forget it. Basic customer service is "bending over backwards". God help us. I could go on but I think I need a beer to calm my blood pressure. You are sir completely & utterly wrong and on the basis of this post I'm surprised you have the intellect to use a computer (or can see it through your blinkers).

I agree with what's been said. I think Seans did very well with getting the South Stand for the Town fans, but that hasn't really worked as well as we'd of liked I don't think. I reckon Mids could do with meeting up with Sean.
Fair play to Sean for trying, but he just needs to realise that in general that the cheapest seats (and arguably the worst) are going to be taken by those who are the most 'hardcore'. As previously mentioned Kids don't want to be sat in the rain!

Unfortunately, the clubs decision to raise the price of my season ticket by 150% has made it impossible for me to afford the luxury of a season ticket in the Antich. And now after 40+ years of supporting my team, I will now have to pick and chose which games to attend. We have 4 season ticket holders in the family but none will be able to renew now. I fear for attendences next season, esp if it is yet another false dawn.

Transferred my seats from Antich stand today. My seats this season have been at the Pink Link "end" of the Antich, 4 rows from the front. These seats are actually behind the goal line.
So my new seats on the back row of the FM lower at the Antich side will provide a very similar view. But still good value at £99.
I attend with my brother in law (an arm chair villa fan) and sometimes with my kinds (aged 8&4). The £99 ticket is perfect for me as I live appox 100 minutes away and can't make every match of the season. Likewise for my bruv-in-law, he is a local but can't always make it due to work etc.
I think the club have been very clever in their pricing structure for next season (forget about the "family" branding of the FM).
The way I see it:
£99 - FM Lower- a token gesture to the fans - guarantees that stand is sold out. It is the worst part of the ground - uncovered etc etc. Club will win family club of the year again surely! People who miss out on that will pay either: £199 - FM Upper - works well if you have kids older than 8 or not bothered where you sit. OR: £249 - Kilner, I am sure will still be the most popular and will be pretty well populated.
What does that leave for match day "pay on the day" patrons who will either come for the big games or start turning up when Town are riding high:
Obviously the most expensive and lest populated stand.... the riverside. Dean and the club cash in.....
or is that me just over simplyfying things?

To be honest, we were sat in there on Saturday against Southend and I can safely say, I never want to sit in there again. We were picked out by the stewards and told to sit down every single time we stood up, even just for a sing song. We were not obscuring anybody's view (we were sat at the back) so why would we have to sit down? I for one, would rather splash out a little bit more and enjoy my season, not be policed by fools that have failed thus far, so became stewards.
