Andy Ritchie said that Southend's Leon Clarke told the ref that he'd slipped and that Glennon didn't touch him. Town are going to appeal tomorrow and hope Glennon's red card will be rescinded. Ritchie said that he didn't see what Sinclair did as he was looking the other way.

Just saw the goals on sky sports news.
The lad slipped before he got to glennon, never a sending off.
Other than that, not much else to report, I'm half asleep and in need of some shut eye.

just got back-poor in the first half even tho we had some decent chances but as usual didnt actually make the keeper make a save, their 1st goal looked offside(but behind the goal wasnt easy to be sure)didnt look like a red for glennon,if their guy told the ref he slipped n glennon didnt touch him,why didnt the ref listen, his(the refs)incompetence didnt help us in that respect,i expect it to be rescinded immediately)sinclair,well,35yr old, played at the top, captain, what an idiot doin what he did, hope he gets the maximum fine possible-we wa better in the 2nd half,n cudve maybe got a point had the ref not sent glennon off,but there ya go-pretty miserable way for me to spend my 21st birthday unfortunately

Just seen the goals on sky sports news. Skarz looked to be culpable on at least 2 if not 3 of the goals Much as I like the lad It might well be time to bring Williams in for the leeds match otherwise hes gonna get rinsed p.s. never a sending off, everyone looked embarrassed by the decision...

Dont know if you still feel upto it Dannyg but if you want to do a match report you should be able to just post it straight into the appropriate section on the features board when its done. If anyone else who went last night wanted to do something similar just pm one of the admin staff. Ta MT

If we appeal against glennon will he be able to play saturday?
Assuming there is not enough time for the panel to review the incident before saturday if a appel is entered isn't the player able to play?
I think I can remeber this happening before

Didn't get to the game but from listening on the radio there was plenty to be positive about from the second half. The Glennon sending off was clearly a turning point. I can see the FA upholding the sending off, this is just the kind of thing they do. Right and wrong doesn't come into it, they will back the ref and if the ref says it was a straight red it was a straight red.

He's a 17 year old kid for crying out loud! If he bottles it we're f##ked End of! I would rather Glennon start myself (and I hope the cards rescinded) but... Chances are it won't be - when did the FA EVER do Town a favour, if they didn't rescind Worthy's at Accrington a few years back when will they ever rescind a card (unless you're a Welsh side!) I'm annoyed as anyone by the keeping situatiion but will be at Elland Road on Saturday still thinking we can win and having faith that Smithies (if he plays) can do well for us. What's the alternative?

I think in this case, the evidence is stacked against the ref so hopefully the card will be riscinded. Unfortunately looks like the daft decision cost us a point. Our league position is terrible. I don't care who we play on saturday, we must get 3 points.
Such a strange game last night. I assume Jevons didn't play because we changed our formation to 451? Don't know why we changed things around really.
I agree with other posters that you can't chuck Smithies or Eastwood into a game like this so if Glennon's red card is upheld, we must get cover in.
Chins up town! We must dust ourselves off and get a run going again.
Starting line up for sat
Glennon Holdsworth Clarke Mif Williams Wallwork Worthington Scofield Kamara Booth Jevons

Jevons was on the bench due to a slight groin strain according to the radio.

Dont know if you still feel upto it Dannyg but if you want to do a match report you should be able to just post it straight into the appropriate section on the features board when its done Presumably you mean the other Danny rather than me. I only looked at the fulltime score so not sure what sort of report I could manage
