He won't have seen much sat in the stands at The Galpharm so we've nothing to worry about at this stage I don't think.

Bet Scholes got pretty bored if he was watching the game in the Galpharm Stadium

"That superb form has led to increased speculation about Rhodes' future, with a host of Premier League clubs now increasing their interest in the powerful hitman, who bagged 22 strikes in all competitions last term." : : : : : :

From going to Palace for £750k, to going to Man United for £5M in a few weeks!
...At least we can rest assured that if he does go in January, at this rate it will be to Barcelona for over £20M! ;D

£5m and loan him back to us for the remainder of the season and I'd munch his hand off.

Lazy journalism once again - I suspect they picked up that £5m price tag from on here!

You'd think they'd be able to find a photo of Rhodes wearing a Town shirt rather than a Brentford one.

Scholes will have been there to watch Oliver Norwood, the lad on loan from Man Utd who scored first goal last night. Shoddy reporting all round really so wouldn't read too much into it.
I think one thing that is 100% guaranteed is that Rhodes will play some part for Scotland in next full international. This would bump his price up no end.

Scholes was there to watch Oliver Norwood. There's something on it on the Scunny website.
Nothing in it.

It should also put to bed any nonsense like has been spouted in the past about the signings LC has made.
25 years following Town and we've never had players with so much sell on value as Pilks, Pelts and Rhodes.
There have of course been some poor ones too but that always happens with all clubs and all managers.
DH has put a lot of investment into the club - but I don't think even he would have envisaged getting back so much in transfers than he has - add on Rhodes and it would be an incredible return.
Rhodes going would really unsettle the season unless an immediate top replacement was ready to go - thats the only way I could see it happening.
But no one could stand in Rhodes way if 5 million was offered and a top club - although I would resist Man Utd as he'd be a bench warmer behind Owen and Berbatov and end up on the scrap heap.

If Man Utd really were there to watch Rhodes all Fergie has to do is ring his old captain who managed him at Ipswich for his view and we'll be safe as houses. : :

It's slightly odd if he was watching Norwood though, Scholes is supposed to be a scout now. So he goes back to Ferguson and says 'Yes boss Norwood looks a good player, we should sign him....ohh'

If Delph was worth £8m, then based on that logic Rhodes is worth minimum £10m ;D

Totally agree Jimmy. When you look at the values of the likes of Woods, Hunt, Smithies, Arfield, Rhodes, Novak etc then for all the money spent on fees/additional wages, i would guess that we would more than cover that on sales of the above currently. To couple that with two failed play off campaigns, and some excellent performances at the likes of newcastle, arsenal, cardiff then LC just now needs to finish it off with promotion and it will be a job superbly done. (No pressure then!)

Apparently Sepp Blatter is recommending that the Qatari's top Premier League squad put a 20Tn bid in for the lad...
It's a bit of a sympathy vote in some respects but will ensure Scotland have some form of representation in a World Cup in the next 30 yrs...

£5m!! surely we couldn't turn that down and maybe he might throw in their young striker Diouf as well.
