In this day and age very few managers will immediately rule themselves out of anything, even if they are no interested they can use it to get a better contract at their current club

I make no bones about the fact I am constantley looking for new work that is more lucrative and will earn me more money and give me more responsibillity within my business area. My boss knows this and accepts it because I am a young enthusastic member of staff. Why should it be different for a manager who wants to manage at the highest level? This has meant we have had a spot light shined on our club, much better reaction in the media, our name is out there, Lee Clarks stock has risen meaning we will be in an even better postion to look at bringing kids from the top 4 in on loan. And anyway at the end of the day if we don't get promoted roughly over 87.4% of town fans will want LC out. |

Give Lee a 3 year new contract! Please don't A bit of interest in him doesn't suddenly mean we should give him what he wants. He's achieved feck all so far and therefore doesn't deserve rewarding |

I've heard he was offered the job but instead of signing his name on the contract, he wrote: "F*** YOU! I'd never leave Deano & HTFC!!" then slapped the lcfc chairman in the face with his willy!!

Give Lee a 3 year new contract! Because he got linked/showed interest in another job? No thank you, leave it as it is, if we don't go up (I think we will) then he'll need sacking in the summer anyway and a 3 year contract would be more expensive. If we go up then see where things stand. |

If this news is true then its good that the club can finally settle back down and focus on the league, didn't think he was going anywhere. The contract he is currently on is good enough for the time being, win promotion and the negotiations can start from there.

Maybe he rang DH first day and said "I don't want to go, how shall we play this" to which DH said "don't quell the flames yet, let the media shine the spot light on us and we will laugh at them and lay against you to earn a few bucks" |
