I'm suprised there wasn't more said about his comments last night. Seemed a bit strange to me the way he answered, in that he didn't flat out rule himself out, he just said he hasn't applied.
As we've seen in the past, the odds moving means jack shit but it came across as more to it than meets the eye last night. Or atleast that was the feeling I got

2nd and 3rd favourite with others, but following up on this statement earlier form Leiceter.
By Edward Tibbles Leicester City vice-chairman Aiyawatt Raksriaksorn has dismissed reports that the club have entered talks to bring Martin O'Neill back.
You have to be slightly concerned.out of all the teams in the Champ, they could defo afford to give him a tasty package.

I thought that was the whole point of this rolling contract. It allows us to sack him quite cheap, but also allows him the chance to move on without the need for a club to have to pay massive compo to us

I really wouldnt read much into that skybet price though. They really are a joke of a bookie and literally £50 placed on this market would make their odds plunge..

Be stunned if a manager with in effect an open chequebook who still has not got his team promoted in the 3rd division despite 3 seasons effort would be given the task to get a team in division 2 promoted. funnier things have happened mind in football

As always when a vacancy presents itself I will be much more comfortable when it is filled with someone else.
O'Neil looked made for that gig, why has he been ruled out?

Its positively a Lee Clark wankfest on here at the moment. What great strides he has made year on year and how he is undoubtedly the manager to take us forward. Yet as soon as he is linked with another club, he suddenly isn't good enough due to the fact he hasn't achieved owt yet. Don't recall Paul Lambert or Nigel Adkins breaking many pots before they moved on.

O Neil is scared of spoiling his stock...he's not daft, he'll take a no lose job if he ever works again.
It'll be Billy Davies who takes the job surely?

Looks like he could be offski... If they want him then it's a surprise.. But if offered my inclination is to think he will accept.. Might be a poisoned chalice though with "ambitious" foreign owners..

He won't be going.
I don't think that he would go it given the chance but I really don't think they will be after him.
He has been shown a massive amount of backing and loyalty from Deano and I think Clark is a man of integrity. He won't let deano down by leaving. He would also be a fool to go to Leicester. It all looks good going to a club with bags of cash and a good squad but if he doesn't get success immediately then he will be sacked and his reputation will be in tatters. It would be better long term for his career to stay with us and get a promotion on his CV.
Leicester will be after a big name in the same calibre as Sven. Clark isn't that name. They should also be looking for someone with a track record of success. Clark doesn't have one.
