Who was the ass hole commenting on Town on Look north, Commented on Towns unbeaten run and quote, 42 games unbeaten run if you don't count the play offs, we used to but now apparently we don't, what a cock, what is it with the press and the Yorkshire press at that, They are so anti or negative Town its unreal, any other club in the country or Yorkshire and the press would be doing cart wheels. :ranting:

or you just being paranoid? didnt see it but is someone pointing out a key fact that so many ask when talking about our run. Him saying it might stop loads of people "they lost in the playoffs"
is it that negative?

It was said in a fairly patronising tone to be honest.

The Record is 49 anyway, so we have achieved nothing yet.

It was said in a patronising way but was said by the female look north sports presenter who looks and sounds like a bloke. Couldn't really care less what she thinks.
We do get fairly decent representation by Look North though as oggy does a lot of the presenting and he talks about town way more than any other team.

Take your point m8 and its a fair one in relation to oggy, But it just seemed under hand and the first chance someone had a chance to have a dig they took on what is a well watched local regional news programme.

Arsenal technically weren't under the jurisdiction of the Football League. So whilst it's not equalling the professional English record, it has equalled the Football League record.

Look - all this carp about "not including the play-offs."
We ALL know exactly what it is that we are talking about, but if people want to include the play-offs and say "well they lost one in there", then we need to increase the number of unbeaten games to 44 because we played out two draws against Boremuff before losing at OT.
No-one ever seems to mention that, do they?
But we don't.
So it isn't the case.

Yes I heard that too and it was said in a patronising tone. The bloke made it sound as if it was Town who were stating it was an unbeaten run and not the FA. Anyway its annoyed me so much Ive sent Look North an email putting them straight!

Arsenal still have the longest unbeaten league run in English football (professional game). Why the premier league is counted as a seperate entity is beyond me. Couldn't care less which jurisdiction they're under they still play in the english league. Not knocking the run at all but it would mean a hell of a lot more if it got to 49.
