More money??? doubt that and yeah you average what 4000 more than us? yeah MASSIVE club!!!! We average 18,655 after 8 games and not played united, you or Charlton yet. You average 13,014 after 9 games. We had 11,900 there for a TV showing of the Blunts game. You are terribly supported for the 'run' you have been on. We'll hit 20k this season by the time we win the division. Yep - a lot more money hence we sign the divisions best midfielder for 1.5million permanently in January and you lot flog Rhodes to a bigger club in Southampton because he is fed up of playing in front of fans dressed up in fancy dress as seats. And on a downward slide?? We are oin a quality run - difference been we actually win games rather than drawing every week as we will show you when you come to see us for a good hiding next week Have a look at this you knob. Both us and Blades fill our grounds more than you lot---so do Hartlepool."Your grounds too big for you" itv.stats.football365.com/dom/ENG/D2/attend.html

*Sheffield Wednesday have bigger crowds that Town* shocker.
Christ, why someone would come on another message board talking about size of their support is beyond me.
Who cares and why?
Don't mind either Sheffied clubs personally, better in the Championship with both of them and some decent derbies next season.
An all dayer next Saturday, should be a good one, regardless of who has more fans, or even who wins. :udders:

Haha, We would have sold all our tickets within a day. 4,700 sold for Oldham on Saturday already. Now that's the difference between Huddersfield and Wednesday. We are a huge club recovering from a downer over a long period and are unilaterally regarded as way below where we should be. Huddersfield are a 3rd division big hitter and are supported and regarded as just that. We aint the pushovers you played last season and having watched a few of your games, you aint the best side we have played this season either. Not lost at home once this season and I do not see it changing with you on the 17th. By the way, when we come to fill your ground for you, we will show you how to sell tickets like a really big club Does Oldham's away end even hold 4700? We get some decent banter on here from some sides but this lot are just shit, with this pleb and his asian friend the worst of a very very poor bunch, and thats saying something!

The away end is shared between home and away fans if it's a large following ie Wendies they get 3000 Oldham 1600

The population of Sheffield on December 8th 2011 is approximately 541,993. Divide that by 2 (as you have 2 clubs) and thats 270,996.5 The population of Huddersfield on December 8th 2011 is approximately 198438. I make that a difference of 72,558 So out of 72,558 extra folk you could potentially have has support you get an extra 5k per week. Hardly jaw droppingly impressive is it... EDIT - We've also to play you, Sheffield United & Charlton at home too if you're throwing that into the equation.

Good post Pozza. Sheff.Wed fans seem obsessed with fans numbers. As you mention with a City that size they should have a good following !

Thats so embarrassing for the wednesday!!!!!!!! Perhaps they should ground share with Scunthorpe or someone. Oh well! It just means Town fans outsinging them again will bounce around their 53.3% empty ground!!!!!

There is nothing more tedious in life than football fans who bang on about attendances. It doesn't matter, don't worry about it. Grow up, you're meant to be adults!

The most tedious subject is surely the 'our club is bigger than ....' crap that gets spouted regularly, either from visiting knobheads or residents...
