We apparently did sign the paperwork. Thanks Derek Pavis, who in awag linkage was a plumber.
We went down that season with Luton and West Ham, so Oldham were definitely founder members, as we'd gone up the year before with Sheff Wed, West Ham and Oldham.
*drifts off into thoughts about those heady days of Mark Draper, Tommy Johnson and Craig Short in their prime.

We always seemed to beat Oldham, apart from when we were robbed in the league cup at a rain sodden Boundary Park.
I remember playing you lot last day of the season when you were champions. I saw your supporters coaches arrive and counted 17 of them. I bet it's been a while since that happened.

I had a soft spot for Oldham when I was younger as we seemed to finish games with them 5-4 or 5-5 with Graeme Sharp improbably scoring hat-tricks and stuff. Unfortunately I went up there for a week to train some Yates staff on IT geekery and the romance of Oldham soon wore off.

The word is 'instantly'.
When you consider Oldham started Yates', but has in recent years lost it as it is too classy for the area - I think you begin to understand how much of a hole the centre is.

Have they still got the mumps shezza? Was speaking to an Oldham fan last week and the name Roger Wylde cropped up-how many clubs has he scored the crucial goal against over the years?

I'm lucky in that: 1) I'm from Rochdale (<<<--- that says it all). 2) I no longer live there either.
Roger Wylde was way before my time. Well I was alive, but not watching football.
