That's why they are above you.
Larky, I remember your brief visit to the daley division, you secured promotion (or mebbe the title, i think you were promoted at carlisle) via a 3-1 win at Spotland on a Tuesday night, Evil Pooly favourite putting us ahead with a volley from fully 35 yards by the touchline (the one where you take throw ins from).
The season before you stopped us from getting in the playoffs by 1 single point on the last day of the season by playing 10 men behind the ball at home on the last day.
The season before that we stopped you getting automatic promotion on the last day of the season.

Despite Plymouth playing a 10 year old making his debut in goal. We won 3-1 at Darlo, swept through the playoffs and have never looked back (smiley).

You had to be there to see it Wizzy, i think we've discussed this before, I have never seen a team defend as much as Plymouth did that day and I've seen some pretty chicken like teams in my life, including my own.
They didn't play a striker in the second half and adopted a 6-4-0 formation. Plymouth fans after the match were apologising to Dale fans for the completely chicken style their manager had adopted, after all they had nothing to gain or lose by playing for the draw.
600 miles round trip for me that satdee the only permanent scar is the 3 points on my licence that I got for shoeing it in order to get back for last orders.

We had two vists to the daley division. The first was when we had Colin as manager and went up via the Play Off having finished 4th beating Colchester and Darlo
The second time we had three seasons of mediocrity (finishing 12th each time) before winning the title with a record points total under Sturrock. That season we confirmed the promotion with the 3-1 win at Spotland having gone a goal down and the kind locals let those of us there celebrate on the pitch. After beating Carlisle on the Saturday, the title was confirmed on a Monday night at Darlo (again) 4-1 where - once again - we celebrated on the pitch despite Darlo wanting to make their Player of the Year presentation. We then carried on celebrating in Tesco's car park
I apologise again to Dale fans for that 0-0 draw keeping them out of the Play Offs. I think we needed a point to stay above Torquay or something ;D

We'd already finished our game at Feethams and were clustered around various radios on the terrace as you bombarded Plymouth for what seemed like 15 minutes injury time. Massive cheers when it finished 0-0, confirming our place in the play offs by winning our last 7 matches to get there by one point [ ]

There's nothing special about winning 7 in a row at the business end of the season these days at Bloomfield Road either.
It's all about 10 now ;D

The Plymouth fans were singing Blackpool songs during the second half of that game, the worst moment was a 88th minute shot that the keeper was getting nowhere near which kissed the ass of a defender who had turned his back and glanced just wide by a midges willy.
I watched all the Plymouth fans celebrating on Spotlands turf with a tear in my eye thinking (still thinking) that I'll never have such a moment again.
