B team line-up for today's game at Burnley. The number 11 is an interesting one who was previously in Millwall's academy.] Abdul abdulmalik the lad from Millwall has been on the radar of Rangers and Arsenal I believe, he rejected a contract at Millwall this summer….

So the headline on the Town site says Burnley 0-2 Town B, great result I thought.... I then looked sat the report & we lost 2-0.... is going on?

Hope Harratt can kick on, he’s clearly a goal scorer whether he can do it at this level remains a while off yet but fingers crossed

Terrific energy at the end. Fitness levels are obviously very high.

They’ve won it in the last minute, any idea who the kid was who won it? From what I can see he made his pro debut for Bradford ?

Good win for the lads there but, I don't want to be too critical here in case it is a young person who is writing these match reports on the site but it just doesn't read well, IMO, & it's not the first time. Is it just me?

Is it just me? Haven't read it so can't comment on the content. But if someone inexperienced was writing it you'd expect someone more experienced to give it the once over before publishing it.

How near is Harratt to the 1st team ? Keep hearing about his goals but what's holding him back...

Diarra is the one I'd like to see around the first team He is young but he has that ‘game changer’ feel about him. It would be nice to introduce him when there is not too much pressure on him, maybe last half hour if we are a couple of goals in front. He seems to have some of the qualities we lack in the starting 11. Much harder to do in Championship games though.

It feels like he's potentially too good to loan out! Hopefully second half of the season we'll see him breaking through and then next season will be his time

Diarra probably isn't too far off a spot on the bench. Holmes was good against Forest but I could imagine Diarra being trusted with a similar remit when coming on, would probably mean 2 midfielders injured or suspended though in order to happen

We need to get Diarra signed up to a contract extension. His deal runs out next summer and then we have a 1 year extension.
Camarra extended his deal to 2023 with an option of an additional year & Ayina extended his until 2024 with an option of an additional year.
Miles Bright also has a contract running until 2024, with an option of an additional year.
I'd imagine there's a few clubs sniffing around Diarra, so he's just keeping his options open. However, the sooner we can get him on a long term deal the better.

Didn't know he'd gone out on loan, decent debut though

Some very promising young lads with us right now, on the very limited viewings I've had, I'd say Diarra is the closest to the first team, he definitely has the quality required but I'm also really impressed by Camara's quality & calmness on the ball, though he has been sent off a couple of times for retaliation. I would love to see both of these involved in some capacity this season or loaned in January.

As I think has been said, Diarra looks like someone who could be a decent impact sub, unlike a defender, DCM or a neat and tidy forward like Daly.
