Anyone know how long a contract Duane Holmes has. Thought I saw somewhere it ran out end of this season. Hopefully they are discussing a new one.

Huddersfield Town ?@htafcdotcom 2m #htafc's u18s have earned a hard fought 2-2 draw at Ipswich this morning; goals from @flo_Bojaj & @benholmesss.
The winning streak comes to an end, but the unbeaten run continues.

Was this just a friendly? It was a competitive match, all the Northern teams now play each of the Southern teams once as well, and vice versa.

I see that the lad who has looked really good in goal in the couple of times I have seen him, Wilczynski, was only on the bench. Does anyone know if this is because he was being rested or have we found someone even better?

Sam Guthrie is in his second year in the Academy, Wilczynski is now a pro and will probably be getting more games with the under 21s.

Does anyone know if this is because he was being rested or have we found someone even better? He's part of the u21 setup now, he played the other week against Cardiff u18's but for the most part it'll be Sam Guthrie in goal for the 18's and Ed in goal for the u21's now that Lloyd Allinson has gone out on loan to Ilkeston.

21's currently 2-0 up away at Coventry. Carr with both. Had a read of the Twitter feed and sounds like we could have scored a few more, Holmes sounding good.

Finished 2-0, Town go top of the North Division with 13 points from 5 games. Danny Carr now has 7 goals in 5 games for the U21s.

Stupid question, but is there promotion/relegation from the U21 and U18 leagues?

If there's no promotion/relegation then how does our U18/U21 side mix it with say the big boys from say Chelsea/Arsenal etc? I can't imagine it's based on current standing of the parent club, as there's the likes of Wolves and Blackburn in the premier league. Perhaps it was based on the current league standings at the time it was created? (as everyone in the current U18 premier league have at some point been a premier league side) Anyways as far as performance against our immediate yorkshire rivals is concerned, the future certainly looks bright for town... the resurgence of the MASSIVE isn't going to happen any time soon by the looks of things

It has to do with the category of your academy so all the cat 1 teams are in a league and the cat 2 in another and cat 3 in another all split into North and south divisions.
So Man Utd, Man City, Liverpool and the like all have cat 1 academy's where ours is a cat 2. Hence the different leagues.

Top of a league containing some decent acadamies (or have BEEN decent academies, producing good players). Thats positive even if it is only early doors.

Ed Wilczynski doesn't seem to be getting much game time this season considering how promising he looked last season, anyone know why?

Ed Wilczynski doesn't seem to be getting much game time this season considering how promising he looked last season, anyone know why? Because he's now the under 21 keeper. He was on the bench for the under 18s though, with Allinson out on loan he's gone up a level.

I went to watch most of the second half of this on saturday and it was a good spectacle. It was a lot more physical than I thought it would be, and we had some really tall lads playing, particularly in defence. Leeds had most of the territory and played some good stuff, but we were 2-1 up so I suppose the onus was on them to attack. We were absolutely devastating on the break, could have had another at the death when Charles put one into the side netting after skinning his man.
I'm not gonna comment much on individual performances as I probably only saw them for half an hour but bojaj looked good, took his goal really well, had a good first touch and laid it off well. He's tall (as is Charles, which i wasn't expecting), I didn't get a chance to see his aerial ability but he's got the potential to make a good target man. As in the Stead type of target man rather than a big lump.
