Thing is you could charge a small access fee to cover most of the cost. Id happily pay a quid a game subscription fee for decent wifi at the games.. Oh Christ, ffs put the bloody phone away for a couple of hours...nothing worse than sat next to someone tapping away or talking to their bloody girlfriend about where they're going tonight...jeez !

Christ it IS possible to watch a game and check your twitter/scores when there's an injury/break in play you know? Its 2013 ffs. I also run the DATM twitter so its nice to post pics and commentary for people who aren't at the game/live abroad. You really do have a confrontational style you know? Can't believe you have the temerity to call SMJ a dick.

Not an issue if you're on O2 like me. It's dreadful not only in the ground but around it. I guess the nearest transmitter is up Rawthorpe way because even on a non match day I struggle to get a signal outside the ground. "All the while upon the field of play."

I always have a strong enough signal to check Twitter/BBC live scores. O2 on a blackberry.
It always gladdens my heart to find out how much of a hammering Wednesday are getting.

They'll either counter protest and make things ten times worse or try to brainwash you into it, but never ever, hold a rational conversation.

What ? If you can find where I said that and post it up, to back up your assertion please ...otherwise...apology required. ..and to call me 'confrontational' and then say the above...pot and kettle indeed !

To be fair you did brand him 'an idiot'. Some could construe that to be a similar insult.

Without checking my file - I recall it was about 200k around the whole stadium But assumedly they would have come in with a proposal to connect up maybe just the Riverside stand inititally, at less than half that cost? (similar to what Liverpool are doing). Seems like a reasonable thing to push KSDL towards implementing as part of ongoing development of the stadium company....especially given as a not for profit facility management company they posted op profit of £350k+ in their last accounts!

I do however think he has made some idiotic decisions...but to be fair he has probably made some very good decisions too, like offering to freeze ticket prices and offer interest free payments...that was a very good decision. There you go...
YES indeed, I have been an opinionated and outspoken pain in the arse, that's because I think things are not how they should be ...and rather than joining the 'everyone who criticises town is a moaning git who should go and support Bradford' brigade, I hope to encourage 'things' to be better than they are...or at least a debate about it. When I'm wrong (which is rare) and since you keep quoting me, I'm pleased you have included my apology to SJ when we had crossed wires over the tweets on Saturday..
You may recall earlier posts about season card prices last season..which in some cases worked out more expensive than paying on the gate each week...I'd like to think SJ took my criticism on board with the 'interest free' offer this season, which no doubt many were pleased to take up and which now makes a SC good value for money. So I do have the odd success, although I don't brag about it...just quietly smile to myself and get on to the next item on my list..As for the loyalty scheme, i don't think I'm alone in thinking this was a half baked meaningless scheme rushed out without proper thought.
My main beef though is continually being told by the players and the manager to 'make more noise' yet the club do absolutely nothing to canvass opinion on how they might engineer this outcome, indeed i was told the club were not entirely happy with the 'mainly drunken youths' who form the singing section...which happens to be the only part of our crowd who make any noise...Anne Hough is responsible for the match day 'experience', amongst other things, a very nice lady who I have met. Sadly though she has failed to respond to my request for feedback from our 2 hour meeting..
A lot of fans moan about this and that, but I try to do something about it rather than just leave it to somebody else. SJ is a very nice man too, they probably all are...but that doesn't exempt them from being asked to explain their actions, and often the lack of.
I certainly agree the noise levels need to improve in the stadium. I think we had this debate on DATM not that long ago?? Im just not sure what the club can do about it? On the 10/12 games a season i go to at the moment, i always go in the standing section , and when i get my season ticket again it will be in their. If the club thinks its only full of drunken youths they are wrong. I certainly think its a good point well raised by yourself salmonpink, the atmosphere does need adressing but i haven't a scooby doo what we can do to improve it thats likely to happen. UTT

Decrease the volume of the stadium announcer and music before the match and at half time.
You can barely hear yourself talk to the person sitting next to you for the 5 minutes leading up to each kick off....it encourages you to just sit there quietly.
Do we really need to be "handed back upstairs" for another song that I wouldn't listen to by choice after the teams have been announced?

It's bloody awful One of the things I mentioned to Ann Hough (she's also responsible for the music), but there is a very pleasant young lady who reports to Ms Hough who selects the matchday music, although I'm not sure if she is the one who plays it on matchdays and is responsible for blasting us all into a dumb silence.. You could try emailing her at ann.hough@htafc.com in fact it would help if everyone with any concerns about the matchday experience sent her an email as I'm sure she would welcome the feedback..otherwise the club don't know do they ?

No need to email her (even if she was responsible for the music, which she isn't). The club are reading this site continually
