There are a lot unemployed at the moment not unemployable! If Powell is that good why on earth has no one snapped him up. Cos' he don't cut the mustard and has little appeal in any division. If Hoyle appoints him I would seriously wonder if he is looking for a way out based on his recent comments. If Hoyle appoints him we will be laughing stock. If Hoyle does not appoint him will Carlisle et al coming calling? No, they would not be interested and he would be unemployable for years. This is total bollocks.

If (and it is an if at the moment) he gets the job, then he will have gone through the selection process and have been found to be the right person for the job. I don't have any problem with that.

Been unemployed for about 6 months at most so comeback bright spark which jobs were available that he might have wanted? Did it not occur to you that as he had just been sacked by the club he loves he may have wanted some time off to take stock?

He's been sat about boo-hooing for 6 months turning down Man Utd and goodness who else whilst getting over the heartbreak but now he might be ready for us. Just the sort we need at this time.

Hey let's get Neil Lennon. He's won the league title in a league where only one team can win it. Chris Powell will do for me, but I suspect we''re gonna have to listen to months of bullshit from fans who think we should be doing better. Time to get real.

How many championship jobs have been available since he got sacked?? You offer very little to support your theory.

I have a problem with it. He was too sh1t for Charlton now we would take him on?! He'd be another uninspiring Town managerial appointment like the latest dullards. If we're going to appoint someone as dull as Powell, I'd prefer Lillis thanks.

Didn't have to be a championship job. Fact is that nobody has shown an interest in him as manager period. That is no qualification to be the next gown manager, quite the contrary.

Lillis who got sacked by Halifax, rightly so, or Powell who was sacked by Charlton and their fans were up in arms about it. As for the last two dullards. Who would you have appointed instead of them at the time? Grayson got us promoted, then Robins took us to our highest position for 14 years. PS Lillis is working wonders with the academy.

What a dour, uninformed viewpoint. You've no idea of any other club showed interest or not. He's done more as a manager than Lillis. Who has had a staggering 26% win rate as a manager compared to Powells 41.
