Can we bring back the meal deal that was in place at the start of the season? Seemed to be along the lines of, if you bought a pint you got a free pie and some crisps... Not sure if it was thought through but it gave better value for money. Shame it lasted about as long as Robins. Another option would be to get some Barringtons jerk pork pies and flog them at three for a fiver

i agree think they should find some way for those in fml to have same oportunities to have the meal deal in place like in other parts of ground not just on one off occasions

Just caught up on the comments. The stadium catering is on our agenda and we bring this to the KSDL board at every meeting. We are very strong in our comments on them good or bad. Yes we are 40 % shareholders - but the other 60% seem content - but obviously difficult for me to comment on thier behalf. Why not ask them (Giants and KSDL for thier views) ? KSDL and thier staff - appointed Sodexo - we feedback to both KSDL and Sodexo. They have to make the changes to improve. They are sadly not accountable to us - that's where sometimes it can be frustrating. Would it surprise you that I have requested the contract for Sodexo but have been refused to have sight of it by the MD of KSDL? I personally disagree with thier approach to this but in fairness they will have thier reasons which you have to respect. PPG Canalside is answerable to us - we are 100% in control of its destiny - the food is bought by us - using TFS and Haighs - both partners of Town and local companies. Interestingly we had a complaint last night about the food and service. We will now investigate why and how and will put things in place to make sure this is a one off. Back to the stadium ... I can only give you my word we are doing everything we can to apply pressure/feedback in a professional manner to improve our fans lot on catering. And will continue to do so. The companies that are involved in the stadium have to have the same desire too. I hope they have. For info I have had a reply from Sodexo on a local supplier and whilst they haven't said they will immediately make it happen they have said they will keep me in the loop prior to making a change. I will keep you informed! To be fair I see Sodexo's comment on DATM (which we were unaware they were going to do) a positive step. I hope they continue to make them. Finally - I am definitely up for a burger (I did buy one a while ago - and the experience was very poor!). We also have people around the stadium as mystery shoppers - this research is undertaken by our Supporters Partnerships Dept and is fed back also. Happy to meet whoever on a matchday to see first hand again - if you want. Great win yesterday and CC defo meant that! Sean Just a personal opinion but I would perhaps suggest that some of the issues experienced by Town supporters do not necessarily exist for Giants Fans. There are different ground regulations in operation for a Town game than there are for Giants games which could have some bearing on the issues we experience at peak times. For example, at football matches you are not allowed to drink alcohol on the terraces whereas at rugby league matches you are. This probably lessens the half-time crush for drinks meaning that there is less likelihood of issues such as have been mentioned in this thread occurring. Secondly, the crowd size at Giants games is very much reduced from those experienced at Town games so again, less likelihood of food running out etc. I'm not a Giants fan so don't know if there are any fan groups that could make some suggestions or comments in the same way as is being done here. Perhaps some of you Town fans who also support the rugby could make some comment as to your experience and whether it differs in any way from a Town match day.

So long as that doesn't further lengthen the time to get served, as staff look for the loyalty cards, find the stamp and then stamp it after discussion with other staff...meanwhile........
Not sure that is the answer, it's quality not quantity we want although I accept your business plan is probably the opposite of that.

Small steps sure, but at least they're engaging now. Harsh but fair, they need to be taking care of the basics before adding initiative like this which lets face it aren't introduced to do us fans a favour. Added to that the additional confusion which will be introduced when asking staff who can barely operate a till or pour a pint to start stamping and checking loyalty cards. The only thing it will do is add to the waiting times which is the exact opposite of what we've all said we want! Stupid idea, maybe re-read the comments Sodexo and think again about your priorities? A pie loyalty card shouldn't be top of your list, trust me

Look out this Saturday, for the launch of the Holland’s Pie Loyalty Card. Buy 5 pies and get the 6th FREE. Sodexo Team Sorry, but that's a ridiculous idea in the context of this discussion. This started with the admirable aim of you listening to your customers and looking to make improvements based on suggestions made. I don't recall the particular post where this gem popped up, maybe it got lost amongst the several pages of people saying 'serve pints quicker'. Have a rethink Sodexho, or you're spaffing away the bit of goodwill you'd accrued from this exercise before you've got going.

Look out this Saturday, for the launch of the Holland’s Pie Loyalty Card. Buy 5 pies and get the 6th FREE. Sodexo Team I don't use catering at the ground for most of the reasons stated already. I did view this thread as an positive step towards listening to the fans and looking to improve what the sodexo team offer. But replies like this from sodexo gives risk of implying that there is no real intention to listen to what the fans/customers want at the stadium and it is seen more about advertising their profit making gimmicks. I hope not. Sent from my HTC One mini 2 using proboards

Sodexo - Get yourself to the Vulcan in town around 1pm on a Saturday afternoon and watch how they manage to serve goodish cheap ale & food when its absolutely heaving. Might just pick up a tip or two. Although it'll probably be pretty empty at 1pm THIS Saturday!?

This Sat will see the biggest crowd of the season & will be a massive test for the catering - wonder how long it will be before they run out of pies, before half time or during. #cynicalme

Went for a pie at half time today ,due to the early kick-off, there were no pies ! Ridiculous, which jokers are running the catering ? Took almost 15 minutes to get served, so I missed the start of the second half having my Cola and a packet of crisps (£2.60 !)
