Went for a pie at half time today ,due to the early kick-off, there were no pies ! Ridiculous, which jokers are running the catering ? Took almost 15 minutes to get served, so I missed the start of the second half having my Cola and a packet of crisps (£2.60 !) Hmmm, yet common sense suggests more people would want a pie in the ground with a lunchtime KO than a 3pm one. Sent from my HTC One mini 2 using proboards Exactly ! I don't normally have anything at half time, suppose like most people, have lunch before and tea after game. Certainly won't be using the facilities again ! Vote with our wallets, it's the only thing they'll understand !

Canalside also failed on the catering front yesterday, ran out of tea cakes and had to start serving bacon sarnies in sliced bread, but still charged the same price.

My mate went for a slash five minutes before the end of the first half and decided to get ahead and queue for the half time coffee . He arrived back just as second half was kicking off. Revell Ward upper. Oh - no coffee either - just tea or hot chocolate.what a joke.

But there wasn't a queue at 2.50 or 3.45 yesterday, I'd call that progress.

Plenty of valuable feedback for you there Sodexo, as you can see the service you provide is a bit of a joke.
Looking forward to seeing an outline of how you are going to improve. As you'll have noticed the major themes are:
1. Clueless staff (contributing to #3 below) 2. Pathetic stock control (seems the concessions regularly run out of all different kinds of products, even plastic glasses and (frequently) lids for cups!) 3. Huge waiting times
So fairly fundamental issues really.

They will respond with something really helpful. Like with our new loyalty card you can have 4 enemas for the price of one, or with every radiator you buy we will give you a free wheelbarrow.
Waste of time this thread.
Although their replies do have comedy value

Went for a pint of Smith's (god knows why) behind the FM Lower, a good 30 min before KO, and the barrel was off, is that a joke or something?
Come on Sodexo get your act together, how hard can it possibly be to maintain a supply of Beer in the least populated stand in the ground, way before the match has even kicked off?

DATMers
I promised I would feedback on response from Sodexo.
I cant comment on current service or product (i.e pies, beers etc). We have, as usual, provided our feedback (collated from our supporters) and for info, have called for a formal meeting with KSDL (and Sodexo) to discuss the Leeds fixture in particular. We are looking to have 3 representatives at that meeting (including 2 Directors).
I can however comment on a positive meeting this evening with Sodexo on the possibility of exploring local suppliers. At the meeting we have discussed opportunities that may exist. We have also discussed opportunities that are possibly not open to us. With regards to Seabrooks - I have advised that Sodexo provide their feedback direct to you as this was originally discussed and suggested on this board. I will leave with them to feedback.
Positively we are now exploring a local supplier that we (Town) have suggested that could be a positive step. Hopefully we can overcome any barriers to try and make this work. Again I will try an bring you developments as they happen. If nothing else I do see this a positive step and hopeful we can benefit (including the local economy).
As I say I am unable to comment on current service, products etc due to us asking for a formal meeting.
Regards and UTT
Sean

Thanks for all your recent feedback.......we are taking on board all your comments and looking into the matters raised. It would be useful to put some committed timescales on when fans can expect more than just that you are looking into things. It makes sense to me that as a company, you select the top 5 issues that need addressing, commit to dealing with these within a very short period of time and do so whilst openly acknowledging that there are significant issues which may take longer.

On a more serious not stu , this is a business operating in our home of football selling rather expensive stuff . Not a bit like our beloved kiosk/huts of old . What I wouldn't give for one of those relegation mince and onion pies , but without the relegation

Sodexo at the John Smith’s Stadium are pleased introduce themselves on Down at the Mac. This will be a great platform to inform you of new changes, future plans and for you the fans, to submit constructive feedback / suggestions for improvement. We are a relatively new team at the stadium and really want to improve the entire match day catering service. We are positive with your assistance we can make the John Smith’s Stadium the best in The Football League. Sodexo Team Team The food offering at the moment is of a very poor quality the pies are let's just say not the best. Simple Solution warm Jones pork pies sold all game and Bacon Sandwiches cooked on a grill keep the Beer but put more outlets in to pour 2/4 at a time, keep the sweets and crisps for the kids and put soup on the Hot drinks and you have cracked it less stock higher sales more profit.

Abysmal catering at the stadium. Every away club is better... Why can't something be done ? Even if you just want a coffee at half time, queuing for 15 mins

Abysmal catering at the stadium. Every away club is better... Why can't something be done ? Even if you just want a coffee at half time, queuing for 15 mins To be fair on this I think football supporters habits have changed. I'm sure years ago, folk used to start queuing with 5 or even 10 mins of the first half remaining. Nowadays it seems nobody leaves their seat, the whistle goes and that's the, erm, cue to queue. Is it a problem caused by seating perhaps? Folk are less likely to want to squeeze their way past a row of folk seated with the limited space in front of them, it was much easier to pick your way through a crowd of folk standing in a big mostly open space. So... most folk wait for the whistle when it seems more acceptable to start trampling through peoples feet, and it creates a queue whereas 25 years ago, 30% (or whatever) of folk would have already been and gone. The solution? Sell at the seat, or introduce more selling units so there can be more queues. The nature of the stadium probably means bring in small mobile units selling a smaller range. 2 or three little units selling JUST hot drinks or whatever. Or remove the seating? What is even more annoying is when a group start making their way out at half time, the lead person stops to chat, and you end up with some goofy kid standing in the tiny space in front of you, like that's ok.

Had a 'Jesus' moment this morning. Found the kids had drunk all the milk.
Nothing for my coffee.
Went to shop and bought some more.
F*cking miracle.
