It will be interesting to see how we play without Hogg in midfield, he's almost the catalyst for our team in my opinion. Think I'd be tempted to go 442 today, Miller to start to deal with their giant defenders like he did against Norwich. Smithies Smith Hudson Lynch James Scannell Coady Butterfield Lolley Vaughan Miller Like that team, although I'd probably expect (unfortunately) either Edgar or Gobern to start instead of Miller. If Edgar or Gobern start today and given we are away at a physical Wednesday then that will likely give Edgar the edge, it will be instead of Lolley. Wells should start IMO instead of Miller. Incidentally Edgar has played 4 times in midfield away from home and we have won 2 (Millwall and Wigan) drawn 1 (Bournemouth) and lost 1 (Brentford) so our record with him in midfield would suggest that it wouldn't be the worst decision despite what the DATM lynchmob reckon. I would prefer Billing myself but given he started yesterday for the development squad, I doubt that will happen.

We need to get off to a decent start.. Otherwise heads could drop and any pre-match confidence drained.
No early goals conceded please Town!
Get in their faces and close 'em down

I believe if we show the desire we did v Norwich and Fulham we should get something from the game. If we dont show that desire then given our position the time off to prepare etc then serious questions need to be asked. Our results form is that of relegation but never the less i was encouraged by the last two home games barring the shocking penalty fiasco.

Hoping for a 2-0 win for Town to settle some nerves followed by an entertaining evening watching the Jacksonville Armada.

Agree about Edgar, although nothing special, he's nowhere near as bad as many on here try and make out and against this Sheffield Wednesday side his height and strength will be useful.

#htafc's team vs #swfc: Smithies, Edgar, James, Hudson (c), Scannell, Butterfield, Vaughan, Coady, Wells, Smith, Lynch (DTS)
#htafc subs vs #swfc: Lloyd Allinson, Ishmael Miller, Murray Wallace, Joe Lolley, Jake Carroll, Oscar Gobern, Radoslaw Majewski (DTS)
The usual setup of Smith and Scannell down the right and James replacing Robinson down the left largely on his own until Butterfield slots in ahead of him.

Edgar would never be a regular starter but can 'cover' several positions adequately in one off situations but IMO we need to give our youth a chance at some stage and waiting for the perfect time could be counterproductive as it takes too damn long. Wells would be my penalty taker today.

Really don't see the point of Gobern and Majewski on the bench over Billing, Tronstad, Charles, Holmes etc. Such a waste.

It may be a side effect of the squad trimming that over the congested Easter period with U-21's games Friday and Tuesday in addition to first team games today and Monday that stretches our resources too thinly to put some kids on the bench for the first team. No excuse next weekend though

Edgar playing, Gobern on bench - which will be here next season? My guess would be neither. DH made it clear that Gobern will go earlier in the season.

O'Reagan spot on with his (radio) comment regarding our players. Really! He went on about the embarrassing performance against Norwich for 10 mins, which if I remember rightly we were seconds from winning
