Both silly posts but not unexpected The spark seems to have gone from both team and fans. Has anybody any faith left in Powell ,and if so "why ". ?? Have you still got faith in Malky Mackay? You know, the guy who you were giving full backing to take over from Robins? Wigan haven't won at home since he took charge back in November, I wonder what you'd be posting now if that were us!

Football in general is turning me off, but town are turning me off too and most of that boils down to the boring poor quality football served up by Powell. Can't help but feel we're wasting our time giving Powell the summer. Sitting deep and launching the ball forward aimlessly does not show any tactical astuteness on his part. I'm sure we could play a more attacking style of play and accumulate at least the same amount of points as we have in recent seasons under the right manager. Maybe also blooding some more youngsters would give fans something to be positive about. I can't see him lasting until Christmas. This season cannot be classed as progress Depends on how you define it & more importantly, at what point in the season. 7 games ago after we beat Reading to go 12th, no one would have suggested we weren't making progress. Now, after this bad run, people are rushing around saying there's been no progress. If (& I know it's a big if), we had a reasonable end to the season & won a few more games, then it would be reasonable to say that progress had being made. As it is, 9 points (effectively 10) clear of 3rd bottom with 6 games to go could be seen as a measure of progress, couldn't it? This season has not been progress, if we were looking likely to be going to finish 12thish, that kind of area of the table, people might have said ok we're progressing but we've gone backwards this season.

Watching the extended highlights, the new lad looked like he struggled a bit Still think we'd have been better off giving one of our young lads a chance Would you have 'sacked off' one of our young lads as sharpish, based on video highlights of one game? "looked like he struggled a bit" It is simple statement based on some highlights. I haven't wrote him off just stated that I would prefer we give our own players a chance Love how you and certain others on here get their knickers in a twist at whatever I post

Tried and not up to the job. Jack Senior could be a possible for next season, if he progresses...

Think you've missed my point. It depends when you're assessing whether progress has been made or not. 7 games ago, it looked like real progress had been made, now it doesn't. If we had a good end to the season, it could all change.
Either way, the time to judge is at the end of the season.

I am not, Affraid to say that i have lost all faith with Town in the Transfer dealings, For example acting late on vital positioning signings and often going for the cheap option when making a signing, Yes people will say we spent 1.5 million on wells which broke the club fee but that was easily off set by the club and a calculated spend by the massive profit made on the sale of Rhodes a few years earlier. I am not denying Haveit that this has been a very tough season but we have to give Powell time to build "His" team . I honestly do not believe we have the finances to attract the players who are the "finished article" . Imo we have to look at young and improving talent from div 3 and 4. For football and business reasons I agree with you.Looking for players that will over time increase the quality of the squad and the balance sheet is the way to go.

Yet we were robbed of 6 points v Fulham and 2 at Rotherham. If we were on 53 points everyone would be laughing. Fine margins. Its certainly been a grim season though! We weren't "robbed" though were we, we lost 2-0 and 3-1. We were robbed at home to Chatlton when the ref failed to give a blatant penalty when Vaughan was fouled, then they went up the other end and scored to make it 1-1. This season needs to end quick before further damage is done as this woeful end to the season will be doing nothing for season ticket sales and attracting potential signings! ... mmmm I think a similar thing happened at Fulham ..... or Bunn took a dive! Robbed was probably the wrong word - games we could have/should have won.
