Another decent striker that had all his talent/instinct coached out of him by Wagner.

Lolo scored again tonight for Ghent in their 2_1 win. He scored both goals and appears to be a totally different player to the one we saw at Town. Could this be due to the Belgian beer or much better training and more motivational management. It isn't the first time that players allowed to leave perform better for their new clubs than they did at Town.

Town "fan" belittles the manager who took us from 15th in the championship to the premier league. Unreal

Town fans write anyone off having a hard time. Shearer wouldn’t have scored 10 goals a season in our team. Mounie will also go and be decent elsewhere if they put crosses in.
Ask yourself if Grant was from Belgium how many caps would he have? None cause he int as good a Depoitre yet.

Another decent striker that had all his talent/instinct coached out of him by Wagner. Carry on much longer with our present coaching setup and Grant will go the same way. We need a coach that actually knows what he is doing, will not be surprised if we take the cheap option

Town "fan" belittles the manager who took us from 15th in the championship to the premier league. Unreal Town fan oblivious to the obvious shortcoming of our most successful manager.

He could not give two fucks about us last season. He was embarrassing to us and to himself. It was a waste of his talent.
He gave us some good memories though.

In the image I’ve seen on Twitter he looks two stone lighter. If that photo is genuine I’d be asking some serious fecking questions on how the hell he was allowed to be so heavy whilst at town. Umpteen thousand quid a week in wages and we allow him to be seriously overweight?! ?!

He did well until Xmas 17
He scored 1 in 1.5 seasons after that yet seemed less criticised than Mounie
But a reality check here - he’s playing in Belgium not La Liga.
He so failed in Portugal which is why we ended up with him in the first place

Just seen that Lolo has scored both goals for Ghent tonight in their 2_1 home win. Isn't it remarkable that players who were big disappointments at Town seem to do well elsewhere. Coaching and motivational leadership could hold the key perhaps.! Jeez how many threads do we need !!!should be on that other ex players etc .

He had a year sun bathing in Portugal, Tossing it off after his big career move, One decent season at Town and a season tossing it off, Some right coin earned and now back home.
Belgians are a bit strange.

Town "fan" belittles the manager who took us from 15th in the championship to the premier league. Unreal G's vendetta against DW is one of the weirdest things on the internet. Bloke failing to score goals in what was regarded as the best football league in world football last season, scores goals in league of inferior quality shocker.

Needs a separate thread as it’s a separate topic, otherwise why not just have a thread called town. Separate threads are great, let’s people decide what they wanna read about and keeps things topical and fresh. Not everyone has time to trawl through long threads in case there’s anything of interest. Saves reading through playground arguments too!

It's a statistical and fact based observation that Wagner never developed a goalscoring player, to improve their goals per game ratio. You'll give me Kachunga as the one exception, which I'll credit DW with.

Mate, we were playing in the Premier League with a wage bill about 25% lower than everyone else with a load of players no one else wanted. It was a miracle we got there and a miracle we stayed there. The guy was expected to turn shit into roses every season. Now stop talking bobbins and go enjoy the sunshine in Spain you massive throbber. XX

Shame how it ended for Depoitre but saw him for the first time in a pre-season friendly against one of the French teams and remember being genuinely excited by his signing. Always a worker and a tryer and would have loved to have seen more opportunities for him and Mounie to play together. Inevitable that his confidence went with a lack of goals but don’t begrudge him turning it round with Ghent.
