Not the most layered of polls, but given its simplicity and its constraints... 'yay'.

Yes. The club at no stage has said 'right town fans, that's your lot for this transfer window'. For all we know, they could spend that £2m on a couple of gems. Also want to point out that when Clayton left this board nearly went into major meltdown. In came Butterfield and he didn't turn out to bad did he? Norwood went, coady in. Let's not get carried away with this no ambition shite, we are only 3 days into the transfer window and there is no proof that the club arent looking to bring any improvements in. Chill the fuck out bitches.

'Buy 'em low, sell 'em high - yay or nay?'. What do you reckon?" "Well isn't that a bit simplistic, Dean?" "Oh shut up! Yay or nay?' What d'ya reckon?"

The only way we can survive in this division without massive crowds, parachute payments or a Russian billonaire is to wheel & deal in the transfer market & hope we have some gems in the academy.. Oli Norwood came in for £400k, sold to Reading for close to £1m, replaced with Coady for £375k & sold for £2m 10 months later.. Let's see who we bring in before criticising.. Coady was an improvement on Norwood in my eyes, nothing to say we can't strengthen the midfield further with a future replacement.. Whitehead/Billing might add the extra steel in the middle in place of Coady anyway? A long way to go until the season starts, nevermind until the window closes, people need to calm down abit!

The other option to this business model is...............................er..................well there isn't one, so whether we're happy with it or not isn't a big issue.
But as it seems to be working year on year anyway, I reckon we should all be yays!

I would much rather see us target young players with potential to develop and then sell on. I'm definitely in the 'Yay' camp. Nothing more uninspiring that signing a an old, washed up has been or signing an overpriced player with high expectations. Reason for this poll was the reaction following this tweet:

Parachute payment & Russian billonaire helps, we have neither. You get parachute payment when you get to the prem. we won't if we sell anyone who does well Let's just see who comes in first before we get our titty lip out.. We sold 'irreplaceable' Clayton last season along with his Midfield partner Norwood, brought two players in to replace them which improved our midfield & made a us a tidy profit aswell.. There's no magic formula getting out of this division unless you have an endless stream of money, it looks like last season's big spending failures Derby, Middlesbrough, Fulham & Wolves are at it again.. Still no guarantees.. Blackburn & Bolton are having to cut back massively after spending ridiculous amounts of money trying to get back to the 'promised land' & could easily lead to administration eventually if they keep chucking money at it.. We've seen it happen time & again, including us, yet fans are still insistent on instant success? Coming out of league one IF DH announced a 5 year plan to get to the premier league, would you not be satisfied with that?

Better than the old business model.
Keep hold of 'starlet' when supposed interest shown and hang on until they are worth nothing. And in the meantime they haven't done anything special or have hit the treatment table.

So, 7-figure fee - could be £1 million, could be £9 million. Wolves say £2 million, but Town say undisclosed.
At a guess I'd say £2 million with add-ons!

It has to be yes. What other option is there unless someone comes in willing to spend billions.
Buy low, sell high and hope we hit the magic formula one year and go up so we can set the club up for years.

It's a better business model than buying older players who depreciate in money.
Deano can't be that bad a businessman. From selling cards out of the back of an ice cream van to selling your company for hundreds of millions.
He knows what he is doing and we are making progress year on year.

Are you happy with the club's strategy? So, just to be clear, is a Nay vote one for spending loads on bringing players in and then releasing them for free?
