As someone who quite liked LC and has said I remember him fondly!
Nick - you're even make me despise him because if he or his team ever do anything noteworthy you're sure to post some drivel on this thread.
Will you ever give it a rest!

Well wake up, a number of posters on here have made it clear time and time again they aren't interested in your constant rimming of a crap manager, and your posts everytime an ex player sneezes. It's ridiculous.

Youve got to give Nick credit. Invent a 'funny' character. Ignore the fact it isn't funny at all. Persist relentlessly with it for year after year regardless. A sort of football forum version of Dame Edna Everage.

Lee Clark's autobiography was apparently published yesterday. Available to buy online for £9.99. Available on the Kindle at £3.99. Bought it yesterday, naturally went straight to the Town era. Not got time to write a full review (of that section). However briefly, slightly disappointing TBH. LC clearly still has tremendous respect for DH, the club, the fans and the Town (which was nice to read) but he didn’t really go into much detail or explain his decisions to any great extent. The book seems squarely aimed at the North East market and is very clearly ghost-written from conversations. I think the ghost-writer (who also wrote the Pavel Srnicek book) was more interested in the Newcastle sections than the (mere) two chapters about us. To come clean, on the whole I basically liked LC (although accept he had failings) and TBH can’t really understand the lack of respect shown for the 43 game unbeaten run, second longest in Football league history stretching back over 125 years. Surely that’s not too shabby (and there are plenty of times supporting Town I'd have quite liked a three game unbeaten run).

I'll never ever feel ill of Simon Grayson because he came in and he did the job he was supposed to do. The 43 game unbeaten run? You're looking back with rose tinted specs there I think, quite a lot of the time we played poor football and he seemed obsessed with it. The unbeaten run didn't get us promoted, I was glad he was sacked when he was, he'd taken us as far as he could.
