Is the story about him being so off his head on coke and booze that he pissed himself in front of the players in the book?

Last thing you want when you've drawn 1-1 at home to Yeovil is some perma-smiling over happy motivational bellend telling you how life is about breathing in the negative and breathing out the positive.

Losing at old Trafford was an unmitigated disaster for Lc and everyone else..we had momentum and would have taken the championship by storm..by the time we limply went up all momentum was lost and we've spent 3 years before getting it back..Lc produced some good times for us he deserves a bit of appreciation.

Allow me to sign fifty odd players in 3.5 years and I'd guarantee some happy time moments as well. If there were any doubts about his ability as a manager whilst he was with us - surely he's proven he's a bag of shit since?

Available on the Kindle at £3.99. Bought it yesterday, naturally went straight to the Town era. Not got time to write a full review (of that section). However briefly, slightly disappointing TBH. LC clearly still has tremendous respect for DH, the club, the fans and the Town (which was nice to read) but he didn’t really go into much detail or explain his decisions to any great extent. The book seems squarely aimed at the North East market and is very clearly ghost-written from conversations. I think the ghost-writer (who also wrote the Pavel Srnicek book) was more interested in the Newcastle sections than the (mere) two chapters about us. To come clean, on the whole I basically liked LC (although accept he had failings) and TBH can’t really understand the lack of respect shown for the 43 game unbeaten run, second longest in Football league history stretching back over 125 years. Surely that’s not too shabby (and there are plenty of times supporting Town I'd have quite liked a three game unbeaten run). He achieved nothing here, he would never have got us promoted. I'll never ever feel ill of Simon Grayson because he came in and he did the job he was supposed to do. The 43 game unbeaten run? You're looking back with rose tinted specs there I think, quite a lot of the time we played poor football and he seemed obsessed with it. The unbeaten run didn't get us promoted, I was glad he was sacked when he was, he'd taken us as far as he could. It always amazes me how there is so much vitriol towards Clark yet Grayson is seen in such a good light because we got promoted when he was manager. Grayson came in, we played worse football and had a worse record and ultimately got promoted because our keeper could take a better penalty than theirs. There is nothing I saw Grayson do that I thought Clark couldn't at the end of that season.

That's basically it ... We can all speculate about whether clark would have got us up that season.. But the truth is he didn't ... Grayson had already bought the t shirt .. He bought another with us .. In my opinion we were going nowhere when clark left .. Though obviously this is conjecture.. He's done the square root of fuck all since left... He has been in management for about 8 years and done NOTHING ... I thought he was a massively promising kid on the block.. Unfortunately he wasn't ... That's not " vitriol" it's hard fact

Huddersfield Town set a new Football League record of 43 games unbeaten with victory over Notts County.
After a cagey first half of few chances, the hosts took the lead straight from the restart when Jordan Rhodes headed in Jack Hunt's cross.
The Terriers were soon reduced to 10 men when Alan Lee was sent off for elbowing Magpies defender Sam Sodje.
But Rhodes smashed home a second from 30 yards before Neal Bishop fired home a consolation deep in stoppage time.
The Terriers had matched Nottingham Forest's Football League record of 42 games unbeaten when they a fortnight ago.
HUDDERSFIELD'S UNBEATEN RUN Games - 43 Won - 25 Drawn - 18 Goals for - 82 Goals against - 37 This latest result leaves them just six short of matching Arsenal's English record of 49 league games unbeaten, which included going the whole of the 2003-04 Premier League season without defeat.
Huddersfield have not been beaten in a league game in the whole of 2011, their last defeat having come in a 4-1 reverse at Southampton on 28 December 2010, although in that time they have lost the and ties in the Carling Cup, FA Cup and Johnstone's Paint Trophy.
It is a run that has comprised 25 wins and 18 draws.
For the whole of the first half it appeared that, if Lee Clark's side were to set a new mark they would have to do it with a draw after being frustrated by the Magpies, who arguably had the best chance when Karl Hawley's shot on the turn flew narrowly wide.
But Rhodes lit up the Galpharm Stadium at the start of the second half when he nodded Hunt's pinpoint cross into the roof of the net from close range.
Clark had to reshuffle when Lee was shown a straight red card for elbowing Sodje, but Rhodes soon settled any nerves when he pounced on Krystian Pearce's slip to beat Stuart Nelson with a superb finish from outside the box.
Despite their numerical advantage, Notts struggled to create openings, although they did pull a goal back with virtually the last kick when Bishop beat Ian Bennett with a deflected drive.
Huddersfield's next game is away to league leaders Charlton a week on Monday in a top-of-the-table clash.
VIEWS FROM THE DRESSING ROOM
Notts County manager Martin Allen told BBC Radio Nottingham:
Notts players were magnificent - Allen "I thought we played very well. Obviously it was a big occasion. We kept a clean sheet in the first half and played very well.
"The last thing we said before we went out for the second half...get ready mentally. You have to say that it was a fantastic header from the young lad, but our players were magnificent.
"They stood their ground, they battled and stood up to it, and the players are unhappy that we haven't got something out of it."

Seem to remember that we were lower in the league at the end of the unbeaten run than we were when it started. Takes some doing. Sounds like one of those nonsense stats that gets repeated over time and ends up being accepted as fact. We were second when it ended and since we finished in the playoffs the year before, I can't believe we were first when it started.

It's as if people think he was happy with a 0-0 draw at home (of which there were THREE, clearly an awful lot) ignoring the fact in all of them we were by far the better team and opposition teams came to defend and waste time. We drew those games because we weren't good enough to win them, not because we were happy with a point. If people want to have a go at him for the play offs, or how hot headed he was, or some of his signings, then fair enough. But to have a go at him for getting 93 points in 43 games is ridiculous imo.

Less than a goal/game conceded during LC's unbeaten run.
And almost 2 goals/game scored. If only Herr Wagner was even half as good......well, in fairness, he just about is....:-)

But to have a go at him for getting 93 points in 43 games is ridiculous imo. 93 points in 43 games is a very good achievement and I don't deny that. However - the reason I am being a bit critical is; A) Every time Lee Clark gets a new job - he can't help himself but to talk about his unbeaten run. He's constantly bigging himself up and thats literally the only thing he's achieved in 8 years as a manager. B) the people that still rate Clark on here refer to the run as the basis of their main argument. But considering the recourses he had at his disposal, meaning the majority of teams just set out to defend for 90mins, relatively speaking - its not as wonderful as it sounds. As much as anything - its a reflection of how difficult he found it to break down a lot of crap sides. For this reason, I don't think his run necessarily makes him anywhere near a good manager. Moreover, this is backed up by his terrible record since leaving us.
