He'll feel right at home at Killie, what with the blue and white stripes! Hope he does a good job, but realistically success for them would be continued survival in the SPL and getting the crowds back up to 5k.
Anyone remember Town v Killie in a mid-season friendly in '67? 0-0 but a decent game in front of nearly 11.5k.

Hope he does well, always had a soft spot for Clark. Some of the footy we played in his first full season here was superb no matter how it eventually ended.

Are we talking about the same man who in the play off's against one of the worst defensive records in the league but one of the best attacks went with one up front and left Jordan Rhodes on the bench? He wasted millions at Town was crap at Birmingham and is unable to get a job in England in any league. Good riddance is what I say Kilmarnock will go down and he will be out of a job in 8 months

4 years on since he managed us, 4 managers have done the job since and still, the obsession continues.

I think I remember it, did we play that game in between the fixtures when we had a Saturday off? Well, the game was played midweek. Town often played friendlies during the season in the late 60's, particularly if they'd got knocked out of the cups early on. I remember games v Killie, Dundee United, Werder Bremen, Borussia Dortmund, Lubeck, Twente Enschede, Vejle and a pre-season game v Falkirk. Exotic stuff!

Bit too early for me, however I did adopt Killie as my Scottish team after a pre season friendly in 1978, they were in hoops then, not stripes, it was just after Ally's Tartan Army didn't win the World Cup in Argentina and I remember 2 coaches full of very drunk, kilt wearing fans who were amazed how big the ground was (for a 4th Division team)

I would've been 12 or 13, but I was there, I think with artysid if I'm remembering right. Was it something to do with the Little Joe Harper signing, or am I hallucinating ?

For his sake I hope they don't go down ... 92ND minute escape from relegation .... relegation ... and a Scottish relegation would surely leave this extremely average manager with nowhere to go .. why kilmarnock.. who surely need someone with experience of their league .. are contemplating the appointment of a manager from a different league with a season on season record of failure is quite frankly .. unfathomable.. but good luck to them all they'll need it

Hope it works out for him. He does seem to be unique in the world of management, in that the longer he's been doing it, the worse he seems to get.
