sad to see we have set up so defensively when we need to win this. Perhaps the strategy is soak up the pressure first half, turn up the wick second half when they are knackered. Hope it works. I like Kasumu works hard, could be the difference in the last 30 with fresh legs.

The journey of a thousand miles starts but with a single step...In a constant effort to improve your DATM surfing experience the admins have listened. The January transfer thread has been moved from the transfer rumor sub board and is pinned in TOTT. Use that for all your transfer related shite, sorry gossip. if you want to start a transfer rumor about a single player, use the transfer rumor board. If we sign that player, his entire thread will get moved to TOTT as it is now. At the end of the January transfer window the January Transfer thread will go back to the transfer rumor board.
Now let that be an end to it....

Could we have a poster vote on this admin? 1. Move it back onto the main board where it should be 2. Stay as it is Easy. No poll. People have an opportunity to voice their opinion on this thread, and then we will make a decision in a few days. Current feeling is a single sticky thread on the TOTT board for ALL transfer activity, which will be moved to the transfer board at the end of the transfer window. You would still be able to create player focused threads on the Transfer Board. Signed player threads would be migrated to TOTT when they get the shirt. UTT. |

Good members of the Politics Sub Board. As you all know, this board is not for the faint hearted, and all ye who enter in here do so at your own risk!! Well its not quite that bad, but it does tend to generate heated debate on divided topics. Previous administrations consigned it to the quarantine area, your current three admins decided to bring it back as a trial to gauge the appetite for it. What we are looking for now is someone to take control of the board as moderator. It is suggested in the main rule set that those in the Politics board police themselves. The moderator has the ability to delete threads, merge them and undertake other admin tasks that help to keep the board running smoothly. It is proposed that the moderator would deal with any complaints that arise from this board, that would be communicated in the first instance through a DM.
If you feel that this is the task for you - do not reply to this thread. Send a PM to any of the current admins indicating your candidacy for the position.
Initially, this advert will run until Sunday 15th January, from where we will evaluate who has (hopefully) applied and whittle names down accordingly.

Am I missing something here?
when using phone I use the navigation tool bar to go to recent threads. Simple. If I want to see TOTT I have to go to the home page, where I can click on TOTT or the Transfer Rumor boards. Both these choices take the exact amount of time and are selected in the same view.
when Using laptop the site opens up and I can go to TOTT or Transfer Rumors same as I can for the Prediction League or Off Topic or any of the other boards.
To be honest in both cases I always use recent threads - I will sometimes go to the Transfer Rumor board, but only around window time. What's the big beef?

Constructive comments always welcome. In actual fact we the admins discussed this just the other day (again). Its a split decision, 2 wish to leave it as it is, one wanted some minor change. You can see there are 172 threads in the Transfer Rumors sub board. We definitely do not want those in TOTT until they become signed players as it stifles the natural flow of the board and drives good threads off the first page which are then forgotten - so a new one is created some time later on the same topic. That said, we monitor the ebb and flow - I know you do not like the current situation R76, but there are plenty that do. 172 threads since it was created but only 4 in the last week that have been contributed to. And that's in the middle of a transfer window, I wouldn't say that's going to stifle the main board. I didn't see any point in the separate board, it's all Town talk so should all be on the one board. Whilst it doesn't make a difference to me as I've recently bookmarked the recent threads URL as the DATM page, there are plenty that clearly aren't aware of the separate board. Every transfer window people post on the main board without knowing about the separate transfer one. Not everyone reads the site as frequently to know it exists. You have sparked an idea Dan. I think that somewhere we should have a set of instructions for new joiners - How to use this Board so to speak. When I have some spare time I may write something up. |

People saying he is past it are- 30-31 The question people have to ask themselves as fans, btw the answer is we are in the bottom 3. We are also what second lowest goal scorers for a reason, thisi s because in the attacking half we are simply not good enough. AK is without doubt a winner at this level , in previous january windows we have signed half fit footballers or guys who have hardly played. If anyone can name a better wide man , that we can sign i would be shocked.
Yaya Sanogo scored against Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League and he is still only 29. Sometimes a player can be past their best at a relatively young age. No go goes like a sanago goes  |
