Morley, he is past it, he is not a scapegoat. I know it and so do those who understand footy. I dot rate him and i will criticise as i see fit. I also dont rate Scannell. Oti, answer my question. I don't give a fuck about your side swerve response. Answer my question. What question? I do not think Hudson should be anywhere near the first team. He is, was, will be a liability. As we progress Wagner will drop him i believe, and Scannell. I do not look for weak links, they always exist but he was rubbish last year and slower than a slug on Mogadon.

All over the place. Oh it so funny. Spoke with a few proper fans before and after. They Were all worried before and happy with what we showed after. Great effort from all our boys Told you we'd win....my only complaint is that it wasn'the 7-0 as I predicted. Magic AR. So funny singing all the way back to the train station Great day. Great performance. Great manager ? Fingers crossed as the last ten months have shown a huge change both on and off the field

Not that I care, but looking at the stats, we nicked it really, didn't we? Perhaps on statistics we "nicked" it, but we sounded to be matching them based on Oggy's commentary (which is generally only a little bit partisan). Either way it makes a nice change from dominating possession and losing like so often last season. Based on Channel 5, seems we're still going under the radar anyway!

In fairness to Newcastle I thought they looked a better side than Brentford. I couldn't believe that that Lascelles was their captain, thought he was the weak link in their side, Kachunga had him on toast.

We allowed them to have the ball today. I was surprised but we didn't go for the high press. They couldn't break us down and on the break we were dangerous. lolley had a golden opportunity at 1-0 and in the first half lolley and rvp had two decent chances each. If those two could finish we would be hammering teams.

Based on the C5 "highlights" I'm more worried about Barnsley than Villa this coming week...

Evening guys, I imagine you'll all be in a fairly good mood?!
Hats off to your team today, played well and made us look like the distinctly average team we appear to be.
Hope the guys who went to the game enjoyed their day and didn't get any bother from some of our lesser fans.

Just watched the Ritchie post match interview - he makes two comments that stand out.
They need to be able to break teams down when they come to St James' and 'park the bus' - Town didn't park the bus.
The referee was poor and the second goal should have been a foul by Palmer - wrong, he out muscled a weak player.
If any referring decision was marginal it was the penalty that allowed them back in the game - but obviously the interview and Ritchie both missed that one.......

On way back to station, coloured town fan was punched by a dwarf Geordie and aggressively pushed by a middle aged Geordie who obviously had some serious growing up issues . Result a good number of very decent Newcastle fans turned on these two twats including a lady who pointed out she was filming them on her phone.Town fan uninjured and utmost respect for the 10/20 Magpies who went to his assistance and blocked these two Wankers . Cracking day in a football fanatical city.

Im off to the pub now to discuss 'life' with Mac, who is I believe from the North East...just to check if his huge sense of humour is still intact...
If Barry the Leeds fan is in it will make my night not to mention football at all, until he cant take it and bursts...Im betting on the ref and a lino being 'at fault'...then the Italian 'bastard'....

Precis Is Anita winger, not sure. He doesnt seem to get much "understand". Doesnt rate HTAFC much. I think his team might have come second. Doesnt appear very happy. Please remove all sharpe objects, pain killers, illegal "lows" and ropes from this ppor lads new flat.

Last season we tried that against teams who beat us at our own game, Wednesday, even Brentford. We opened up too much at the back and afforded them space. Well done DW!

Welcome to the championship.

I have to say that I was very impressed with all the Newcastle fans I met and thought the stewarding at the game was a notch above some of the shit we often see. Not sure I could cope with the 175 steps up to the away end every week, though.

That's probably the best away league result I've seen watching town in my lifetime. My heart wanted us to win but my head said I'd be more than happy with a point but not really expecting anything. Go to Villa on Tuesday and get 3 points then it's a fantastic start and a start to the season you could only dream of. Can't wait 😀😀😀😀

Where are the doom and gloom brigade tonight anyway? They couldn't log in fast enough when we lost to Shrewsbury the other night.
