When the club first announced both the gates and the attendance there was on average a difference of 2,000. That's when we had around 8,500 SC holders so I reckon there must be about 3,000 missing from any game. But in terms of a full house now I reckon this is no longer 24,500 given the no go areas in the SS, RWL and KB stands..that's around 1,000 seats unavailable I'd guess. So capacity is 23,500.
Given the no trade for SS fans that's another approx 1,500 empty seats left behind if the SS is full...so that makes around 22,000 available seats for this game. Around 1,900 of these are in the away section of the SS, so home capacity is approx 20,000. A sell out might release some of the seats in the RWL and KB, and the club might relent on the trade option next week if demand is still there for the game.
Our highest gate was Sheffield Wed when 22,368 tickets were sold but that included 1,970 away fans..
As the season progresses and gates hopefully increase, something might need to change if everyone who wants to go is able to get a ticket.

I have to say unless you are working then if you dont go to this you simply havent got the real interests of Town at heart. Bollocks to the telly the weather or pub its in the stadium where every single fan can make a difference , simply unmissable massive game There are clearly hundreds on average who don't turn up for most home games, judging by the spare seats, so hopefully there won't be too many more drop off for this one. As said, it is a massive game (and weekend), given L**ds will potentially be 4 points above us by then (2 games more), it is turning into a must win. It will be 5 points if Leeds win at Blackburn on Wednesday Night.

Have no doubt that Brighton will be a huge danger at free kicks and corners.

More season tickets sold = non attendee per ticket increases proportionately, but I would also say the cheaper the season ticket the bigger the discrepancy between attendance and gate figure.

It's a shame our fans (myself included) struggle to 'give away'/trade our tickets when unable to attend.

The likes of Manure do a lot of trade as "Tourist Packages": the sort of people who buy half+half scarves, etc. If those don't get taken up that's a fair few empty seats.

Look at other attendances, Premier League, Championship (QPR for example).
We are doing extremely well attendance wise and should be proud of what we get through the door.
Not see any failure or negative to it.

Greetings Town fans , firstly congratulations on the season you are having . Brilliant to see you getting up the noses of the so called big clubs in this league ( we all know who Im talking about ). You have a good side this year and long may it continue . You are very much like we were last season . Barely any press coverage , everyone writing you off . Very refreshing ! We have also flown under the radar to an extent while everyone else gets mentioned shown well before us ..... a good thing ! Our battle at the top reminds me of the great battle we had in L1 . You were unfortunate that year after amassing a great points tally and the guard of honour you have us and the many town fans met in recent encounters .... respect ! Onto the game , our lead looks healthy but any Albion fan knows it's miles from over and the moment you think it is the moment you come unstuck . It's a very tough game for us . Despite the run we've been on we haven't played all that well at times and are certainly getting a bit of luck we missed last year . With only 3 strikers all season we are certainly walking a tight rope , that said the we have 2 quality options for every other position . Against you we will have Murray , baldock and Bruno back. Bruno we've particularly missed of late . It's such a hard game to call . We've looked beaten a few times this season but the character we have always seems to pull it out when least expect it . A draw for us would be fantastic but when top of course you go into every game half expecting 3 points . It should be a great occasion . I wonder how sky will hype the 2 unfashionable sides in this clash ...... got to laugh haven't you ! I would love to see both of us go up . Whatever happens with Wagner and your set up your future looks good . All the best after Thursday and hopefully see you next year in the greedy league ....... where we can battle for last place on motd.

Ta muchly for the posting. From our side you will face more or less a full team of players that many fans are convinced are not good enough from goalie through the whole defence half of the midfield the other half most are convinced is bloody brilliant. Then into our fluid frontline and wide men where none can shoot to save their lives and finally the point of the diamond a bloke who's brittle with no movement and weighs about 8 stone So let's see I love them all for having the temerity to get us to this position at this stage of the season. You will face a well organised committed football side that will try to play. On our day we can be great in spells and this has by far been my favourite season in a long long time. I have a feeling that quality may just tell for you but we have an enigmatic new German import frontman with legs like pipe cleaners but the heart of a Bavarian bear to come on. If we struggle to break you down which we will then prepare yourself for some gerrit forward moans from the home fans as clearly that's what we need to do ie Bang it forward and chase after it and let the little fella give you a battering. Bring on the game.

Only 3 strikers. Poor you!
We've had to make do with 1 up to now.
Looking forward to it. Should be a cracking game but I think it will be a tense competitive affair without lots of free flowing football on offer.

Not see any failure or negative to it. Plenty of empty seats at a cup semi final tonight in a ground not much bigger than ours. Imagine if we had a League Cup semi final second leg, at home, against Man Utd, even starting 2-0 down there'd be folk watching from the Kilner Bank I reckon. ITS A SEMI FINAL people from Hull.

Spoke to a Brighton Fan yesterday. Some of their fans are buying tickets to ensure they get tickets later in the season and have no intention of travelling up. i.e. they have a points system and they want to ensure they can get a ticket for the promotion party at Norwich / Villa at the end of the season. Not sure how many people can afford to waste money like that but thought it was interesting! I think the Brighton fan may just be telling a little teeny, weeny porky there! Yes, we do have a loyalty points system in operation. If you are a season ticket holder you generally get first dibs on hard to get tickets, enhanced even more if you purchase additional tickets for cup games (not included as part of your season ticket) or for away fixtures. To be honest they'll need to go to quite a few away fixtures to rack up the points. Regarding the bit about a promotion party at Norwich or Villa, no self respecting and sane Brighton fan would even dare think about that. We are the doom and gloom, pessimism club that takes each game as it comes. Now, where are those chickens?

Equally, I hope your lot are successful too - third place or even second, behind us of course! I'll take a draw next Thursday, and then we can all have a B-I-G love in. We like that sort of thing down in these parts.

I suppose that extra 0.1 goals a game, or in other words that extra one goal every TEN games, means our defence is soft as shit, and yours is like an unbreakable force? Muppet.

I have to laugh when Sky and Radio Leeds go on about how good they reckon Leeds are these days. Plenty of big lads, really good at corners and free kicks. It is not beautiful attractive football, though I think Monk thinks it is.
