Stop Knockaert and then you only have to worry about Murray, March, Stephens, Kayal etc Piece of pish ... or just stop worrying about the opposition and concentrate on what we can do. Exactly. We are entering the critical two months of any season. Now is the time to be confident about what we do. I honestly think our cup run is helping to spread this confidence through the whole squad. People often talk about the negativities of a cup run but i can only see positives and DW is managing the squad superbly.

A good cup run and being in the top 6 of the Championship shows that we are a good side and that we have the most important thing, momentum.

Bit like we did in the first half at Rochdale. Wouldn't read anything at all into Brighton result today with regard to our game on Thursday. Maybe but the travelling is certainly not ideal for them ? Don't think it will be a problem by Thursday.

I agree, today's result has no bearing on Thursday's match. Obviously 9 changes today, but Thursday they will be putting out a full strength 11. I was just saying it would be nice if they helped us out with some fuck ups like in today's 2nd half. Would be most welcome! We made the fu at Brighton when one crept past Ward. Otherwise we were pretty evenly matched, although I though DW gave them a bit too much respect at their place and we were slightly defensive.

With a competent keeper we would have got something down there...simple as. Been said too many times this season

It was a howler of Smithies proportions though. Seagull Nobby said he was slightly unlucky with it. Recording from behind the goal showed it was not a simple faff because the ball was spinning like a top.

All keepers have the odd cock up in them , reference england keeper for the last 20 years . Oh and the remarkable Gary sprake, if only they had a keeper that good these days

How did Coleman do at Rochdale - sounded decent.

I like coleman, he improves every time i see him, commanding (generally) uses his box for distribtion well and doesnt moan like an old toad.
He will improve and next year could be a massive asset!
Keep working Mr coleman, next season the shirt could be yours! the only issue for your automatic progression to No1 could be progression to the greedy league.

Coleman is a great prospect but would still prefer smithies to be our number 1 - should never have sold him Can't wait for next 2 home games and cup draw what a time to be a town fan

Looking forward to Thursday...a big test of our credentials this one..beating Brighton would be a massive result and a massive confidence booster for us...would also take the pressure off Sunday a bit too.
Brighton are a good side, and know how to win even when they're not so good. I'm just hoping they don't bring their own ref with them..

I like the Smithies that plays for QPR, compared to the one that we had.

Will have to work late on Thurs so no chance of making it to the game, should get home in time to watch it on TV. Hope it's as good as the away fixture at Norwich and another 3 points for Town. Some tough fixtures coming up, we won't win them all just keep our nerve and cheer those lads on.

Been said too many times this season So we lost a point at Brighton but he definitely saved 2 points at home to Wolves, swings and roundabouts for keepers. I like Coleman but if Wagner prefers to play Ward, that's fine by me!

It's one of the things I like about Kachunga, he 'defends from the front' effectively with some good tracking back and general nuisance making when we are not in posession. All part of the pressing game I guess.

All part of the pressing game I guess. btw keepers either come for stuff or they dont.. if ours does not then its up to the staff and the team to get a grip on that and defend accordingly.. worst scenario is one who dithers and sometimes comes out or sometimes does not.. have a definite way of defending crosses/corners and stick to it..

Well you might see him get off the team bus just before it gets to the ground. Honestly, they are so pricey these days, costs more for away fixtures than home ones. And, having to pay in Euros as well. One good thing, Gatwick Airport is only half an hour from Brighton so quite convenient for flights to Zurich, and the banks are open later there as well.

I bet hes the same one- ie a top keeper at this level. maybe at QPR the fans don't expect him to come charging out for any ball into the box whether he can realistically get it or not, or to distribute the ball accurately to an imaginary player in acres of space within 0.1 seconds of having it in his hands?!

From what I've seen of him in the handful of matches for QPR, he's much more commanding and he can save a penalty or two. I think you could double his transfer fee on the next move.

I think his wage here was a big factor in moving him on Shame as he is the best we have had in a long time For every mistake there were numerous stunning saves Hope he gets his chance in the top flight with his next move

I'm just hoping that you're on the wrong end of a ref this Thursday and thereafter every single iffy decision goes your way. As for jokers - I give you Mike Dean. Grrr!!
