not a match thread, but it could be a 'pre-match thread' ?
anyway - tickets --Brighton tickets selling well - these are what's left - RWL - 470, RWU -75, BR - 510, FMU- 527 and FML -718. So down to only 2300 remaining!

Spoke to a Brighton Fan yesterday. Some of their fans are buying tickets to ensure they get tickets later in the season and have no intention of travelling up.
i.e. they have a points system and they want to ensure they can get a ticket for the promotion party at Norwich / Villa at the end of the season.
Not sure how many people can afford to waste money like that but thought it was interesting!

They aren't assuming they will go up but there will be demand for tickets so this is potentially a worth while investment in their eyes. Maybe we should get the club to double sell some of their tickets if they are doing this

Pipped to the line last season, been strong and steady all season. Can't see anything changing that.

How many seats are left is one thing, it's how many card holders fail to turn up due to Thurs night on Sky is the other question.

Brighton look rock solid and I think they may well pip the Geordies to the title.

There's obviously exceptions that can't be there but if anyone can its a big plus getting there than watching it at home to be the 12th man.

I have to say unless you are working then if you dont go to this you simply havent got the real interests of Town at heart. Bollocks to the telly the weather or pub its in the stadium where every single fan can make a difference , simply unmissable massive game

This one I have booked holiday for, can't wait for every match at the moment.

I don't know enough (any) Brighton fans to be fair. But as Sio says for a tenner & the potential benefit later in the season for their fans it seems a no-brainer.
If we were in the same position I'm sure many would do the same.
Hopefully a great game this one...

As said, it is a massive game (and weekend), given L**ds will potentially be 4 points above us by then (2 games more), it is turning into a must win.

Understandable though based on the fantastic price of season tickets this year where you can still get value by attending half a dozen games or so. Just imagine what the bums on seat ratio would be like if we were languishing in the bottom half of the league.

The Examiner thinks we are heading for a sell out. I don't think that they really understand the fact that there isn't ticket trade for this (Correct me if I am wromg) so the Town South Standers won't count on the attendance other than in their original season ticket seats.

Due to the stupid kick off day n time I might be unable to attend due to being on nights. Just hoping my boss let's me start a bit later so I can attend. The cheap season ticket makes it easier to stomach financialy although over the years I've missed many games due to work but always got a SC but the way we are playing and the opposition we are playing it annoys me games get moved.

Should still be 20k+ there which for a Thursday night on sky against a side that won't be filling the away allocation would be good effort.

No ticket trade to the South stand though for some strange reason so I'm guessing that leaves at least 1000 spare seats which won't be sold

Would imagine the attendance will be quite a few thousand below the tickets sold due to folk who normally bring kids not doing so on a school night. What is important is that the fans get behind the team from the word go, it will be a really tough game possibly our toughest of the season up to press. Just be nice if they could cut out their diving and gamesmanship, sick of playing them and seeing their players throw themselves to the floor rolling round in agony from the most innocuous of tackles. They're a good side and don't need to do it, a shame really as they look a better side than Newcastle IMO.
