There was going to be one massive turning point in this clubs incredible season , and hopefully it will be the Bristol game for many a reason.
A town win will put massive massive massive pressure on both Newcastle and Brighton to get a result from their very difficult away fixtures on Saturday ,and some of these opposition players seem to struggle badly under extreme pressure similar to what happened against Fulham .
Another plus for town will be the break as it will give all three clubs and its supporters time to dwell on what is a highly stressful situation for all involved .
A balls up at Birmingham will hopefully see 50 odd thousand Geordies on the back of both Rafa and the players , and that's what you call mega pressure especially as " failure " through massive team investment cannot be classed as an option..
Similar could happen for Houghton as a second consecutive season of " failure " to reach the premier league must be unthinkable especially when throwing away what seemed at one stage to be a very comfortable points advantage over the clubs below.
Seasons like this for Town are as rare as finding a piece of rocking horse shit , but everything seems in place " on and off the field " for the club to move onwards and upwards.
Bring em on.

No point resting anyone with 2 weeks before next game, so agree with that starting eleven..fired up and raring to go.

Make no fucking bones about it, this is gonna be a tough match. Brizzle have beaten some decent teams this year and, unfortunately they couldn't hold on to their 2 goal lead at Newcastle. Genuinely think that this is our toughest match in a while, they will be fired up IMO, therefore we need to start like a rocket and take it to em

The pitch looks to be in superb condition for tonight, should suit our playing style to a tee.

I have a fear we will set up defensively. Just 9 points from guaranteed play off place so that is surely a gimme with this team...3/1 for promotion in the play-offs and 7/2 for automatic. Fortune favours the brave, a game to go at and take a risk.

Oti - will you stop dropping them controversial sentences in...
For the die hards & ever presents can one of you please let me know how many times we have "set up defensively" this season?

Whilst it is unlikely, for someone who makes their livelihood from betting and epouses numbers as you do, I am sure you realise that Fulham can reach 88 points and Preston can reach 83 points, so it clearly is not a guarantee that 80 points presently will make the playoffs, historical data suggests it will BUT that is only a suggestion and not a guarantee. Secondly, when have you seen Wagner set up Town defensively other than Cardiff away!

The formation has been the same all season, but tonight I'll reckon he'll drop Van La Parra, Brown and Kachunga and play Holmes-Dennis, Stankovic and Cranie as the 3 behind wells so we have 2 lines of defenders on the pitch...... 🙄

I can only remember Brighton away of the top of my head, and that was a wise move tbf, just let down by a goalkeeping error

We are ALREADY in the play-offs in my opinion, and that's why we should throw the kitchen sink at every match. I will give you Fulham 8/1 to finish above us and Preston 25/1...and i would be stealing your money. 80 points will be enough. We have set up defensively often..go back and have a look, Villa away and Leeds away spring to mind. Your rigidity means you would never make a pro punter.
