Tactical. Wagner said he wasn't at his best Didn't think Smith was much better though. Some wayward passing and some dangerous attacks down his side second half Malone looked more of a problem than Flo to me. Malone is shocking. First touch took the ball away from him nearly every time and his crosses ended up nowhere. Struggled to make any headers too. Interesting that we seem to be linked with left-backs in France according to the click bait.

In comparison to Malone, Smith looked an international footballer! Did Malone manage to make any successful passes to a Town player in the final third? He either seemed to lose the ball, run into trouble or hit the first man with his cross Smith did as well as anyone going forward today imo - his first touch in the other half played Mooy into the box. That alone did more than Flo in 45 minutes. Smith did well Boxing Day as well, he played Quanner in for the goal and put the excellent ball in for Mounie's chance. It wasn't Flo's day, his first 3 passes went out of play - he didn't seem to realise there was any wind. The balls he was playing were goodbye but didn't adjust delivery / flight for the wind. Hogg told him 3 times alone! He made an excellent interception / block end of the half to be fair. If continually bottling it and turning back or just lobbing it hopefully forward - and then the one occasional inside ball to find someone is your idea of doing well then fair dos. By far the weakest player in our 25 by a long way IMHO - and I ain't alone on that thought.

Need someone to come in and play instead of mooy, give him a bit of a rest and also push him a bit. I can’t help but think that some games mooys motivation drops. We've really missed not having Billing.

I think one are two are missing the point today....we made Burnley look good because every last player bar Lossl under-performed. No zip or enough desire. They are quite average and just did a Town on Town. Stayed very high when Lossl had it...2 men right up on the edge of the box...quick press when they lost it, tried to move it quickly when they had it. They are quite average... ? They have 3 points less than Arsenal and Spurs (played one more) Organised, well drilled, options on the bench, every player knows their role, know their limitations, iindividuals with quality, grown over time etc They are a good team - they aren't average, they are exceeding expectations and doing better than they should on paper. Credit to them

Good point all things considered. If you can get a draw from an off day that's not bad going. Very very lucky to get anything? People overplaying burnleys superiority on here. They were nice and compact quick to close us down and passed well in general but just launched it an awful lot and were forced to go roll the dice and go 442 etc. They would have easily beaten us not too long ago. Not all bad from not the best game to watch.

Quaner was terrible in front of him, as was ince and rvlp when they switched. Tactical.... fine. But hadajonaj was no worse than the other 7 or 8 that didnt turn up. lossl was immense, hogg tried, others not at their best. Iagree with you on the tactics but to say 7 or 8 didn't turn up is being nieve football wise. There is no doubt we wasn't at our best but every one tried hard all game and our work rate was again very good.In the context of the game it was a very good point

Last 160 minutes (edit!) he's played Cross for goal soton Ball to Quanner for goal Boxing Day Volleyed cross for Mounie chance Boxing Day Turn ball into Mooy today That's 4 excellent balls into the box in 160 minutes (edit!) Please tell me who else has done more than that?! Clear he's work to do on his crossing (too inconsistent) and one on one defensively especially but criticism he gets is beyond me! Weakest in our 25? Sorry I don't agree, in fact I think that's nonsense!

You always get these games during periods of 3 games in a week. Players from both sides just look fatigued and a bit lacking in ideas.

He does look jaded but no surprise given the football he's played - and having not had a full break over the summer Whether on or off form he still looks to make us tick. Don't forget he also covers more ground than any other Town player week in week out The only player who could play his role is Billing. I dont think we can afford to rest him Monday but expect Williams starts - maybe with Mooy further forward. Mooy should be given next weekend off completely to have a proper rest. He won't be having a break this summer either, nor will Zanka, Lossl and maybe Depoitre should he get in the Belgium squad. Suppose it's a nice break not to have if you're a player.

Thank god for this post, I was beginning to think I was the only one who was not over impressed with Burnley. Not saying they are bad side but I didn't think they were impressive, overall a poor game today

Credit to them Sean Dyche leaves and that team will struggle like mad. They are average but they have nailed a hard working and organised system to a bloody tee.

Burnley now play Liverpool, Man U, Palace away and Man City twice...lets see if they are 7th after that. No one is slagging Town players. I will though, we were shite today.

I wish Dyche would cough up whatever has been stuck in his throat for the last four years too.

In between waiving his arms about whenever a decision went against his team.

A few moans I note. But spare a thought for us Stoke fans. Yet another absolute drubbing. Anyway I think we’ll defiantly assist you in staying up because we’re looking nailed on for one of the places.

Had to work today, only the 3rd game missed all season, but sounds like I didn’t miss anything special. Any stand out performers today? Not really had chance to read the forum, so any insight on the game would be good.

Despite what you say and indeed, what you might think, you're nowhere near the worst teams that we've played this season. Step forward, BHA, Newcastle and WBA to name but three.

Win that and you've had a decent Xmas. Lose it and you're in deep trouble.
