Just back after few beers,..... First half we were shocking, no midfield at all, rode out luck. Much better second half, overall a fair result. We'd of been very angry not getting that penny.

It thought Morinio was a whinging bastard but Dyce takes the biscuit -never in his technical area - confronting 4th official all the time - football could really do without managers like him

I think one are two are missing the point today....we made Burnley look good because every last player bar Lossl under-performed. No zip or enough desire. They are quite average and just did a Town on Town. Stayed very high when Lossl had it...2 men right up on the edge of the box...quick press when they lost it, tried to move it quickly when they had it. Nah. They played well and it made us look below par. Disliked it last season when other team's supporters would always claim they had an off day or they made us look like Barcelona. Credit where credit is due. Possibly the first point this season that we didn't really deserve, but a good clean sheet nonetheless.

Dyce is referees ear all the game - constantly berating 4th official - never in his techinal area - whinges more than Moriinio - football would certainly be a better place without him

Thank good someone else sees him for what he is I'm not surprised his voice is shot considering the amount of moaning his does. Never stopped all match. And I'll bet his arms hurt like fuck after constantly waving them about whenever a decision went against him. Very good manager though.

What's the point, he does realise it's not the 4th official who's giving the decisions doesn't he?! I Liked Burnley today thought they played well but was just annoying/ridiculous/pathetic etc

They should of got more bookings, dirty twats. Referees know all about Barnes being a dirty sod but he still gets away with it all the time Some players seem to get booked after 1 or 2 challenges whereas others like him seem to be allowed 6 or 7

They did play well and I gave them credit elsewhere on this thread but don’t kid yourself that was the only factor. We were dreadful, sluggish, moved the ball ponderously and never took care with our passing even when under no pressure. Most prem sides would have beaten us today - they should have but they were denied a pen and their finishing was quite poor.

I thought they were excellent in the first half and should have buried us.
No idea why the super tactician Dyche went mid 80s Wimbledon in the second half though.

Hey guys ,
Interesting to see your views on the Clarets, from should beat us - pre game, realisation mid game and just after that we are a good side to then recent comments that Dyche whinges and we are long ball.
Just to add a balanced view... In my honest opinion ( and it is only my opinion) we are a good side , u like to press, we press harder, we both like to break fast but we are slightly quicker due to being direct when necessary . This is no slant on town I love what u stand for as a club , v similar to us .
I do think however being labelled long ball is unfair , 20+ passes to score against Everton highlights that if we have chance to play we will.
Dyche May have been frustrated with some of the decisions today and shown it , but a point each is just that. I hope it helps you stop up and us (the target is still 40) .
The premier league doesn’t like us as clubs , well fk them us and yourselves are here to stay . See u next yr guys .

Tired performance today. We know that Wagner picks the team based upon how players have impressed in training. I'm just hoping that policy isn't backfiring in that sometimes players are leaving too much of their energy at Canalside. Was it a Villa player (McGrath?) whose knees were so shot he didn't train at all but always put in an impressive showing on Saturdays? As Dyche often picks the same team for the next match, and bearing in mind how fit they looked today, I wonder if their players put in 100% every week in training. Just a thought.

Hoof-It FC, physically strong and in your face nothing special but it works for them. Arfield should not have been on the pitch, ref let 3 bad fouls go.

We usually press more than we did today. Part of that was due to you playing long (pressing only works when a team tries to play our from the back), and part of it was because we put in a tired performance. Burnley definitely played major role too - you completely stopped us playing today, and full credit for that. I personally wouldn't want to watch that style of football every week, but it works for you, so good luck. A bit like when we last played you at home in the Championship, you were too streetwise for us. You are well-drilled, hardworking and effective in what you do. You definitely deserved to win. As for Dyche - great manager, but I've never seen a manager moan at the fourth official as much as he did today. And his arms every time his team didn't get a decision. As I say - great manager, but a whinger too.

Thought you looked really strong and slick in the first half but noticeably more direct in the second, and caused us far less problems because of it. All the best for the rest of the season.

Well, changing the subject a bit - did we lift the curse of the ex-player always scoring against us, or is it true that what was debated on here for years, that he needs a lot of chances to score, is what it was ??
Probably both IMO, so lifting the curse is another one for the positive column, along with the point..
Agree with a lot of the above about getting a result/point while playing like shiite. It could have been worse.

Honest question how long do u guys think u can battle for mid table like us before u get bored ?
I enjoyed the game just as much in the championship as I do now! Lol

It thought Morinio was a whinging bastard but Dyce takes the biscuit -never in his technical area - confronting 4th official all the time - football could really do without managers like him I was confined to listening from home but himself was there and said EXACTLY that .I watched him being interviewed on TV and really thought yes he becoming a moaner/whinger

Don't understand some of the 'we under performed' comments on here.
Burnley aren't pretty to watch but they are where they are because they work hard, are super well organised, and do their homework to stop the other teams playing their game.
They did that to us well. Most of our players put it the effort but weren't allowed to play.
More than happy though with a point both at their place and today against a team with some major league scalps.
Good luck to them, UTT

Dyche thinks thay was a natural fall. It was the weirdest natural fall I've ever seen then. Penalty yes, but by God he is such a self-rightous tosser. Going on about diving again after seeing Barnes all afternoon is hilarious.
