Yes I know I’m getting carried away and we aren’t safe yet but I’m on cloud 9 from this afternoons Ince winner and I’m already looking forward to next season. if we do avoid the drop tho, would you try take any players from the sides that go down at all?
I’d love for us to make a enquiry for Nathan redmond fast direct and hasn’t started many games for saints, could be one of them players who Wagner could put his arm round and he could be brilliant for us.
I would also be tempted to enquire about chris brunt purely for his set piece deliveries.
There are obviously other players in there sides but these are more realistic than a Ryan Bertrand joint us lol
As for outgoings I think we could well see these leaving Sabiri loan Stankovic loan Smith if a decent offer came in Rob green Quaner just don’t think he’s up to it at all
What’s your views

Redmond is a good shout. Joe Allen too would be a very good signing.
Let's make sure we stay up first though!

Anyone who can cross. Or take a corner.

Would be a fan of Ward-Prowse. Play in the middle 2 or wide right, one of the best crossers in the league and a decent all rounder - with time could be moulded into a Mooy type player with slightly better mobility.

I’ll tell you who I’ve long admired and who I thought was probably the best player of the pitch today. Will Hughes.

Bertrand if Kongolo don’t sign.
Maddison from Norwich to link up with Pritchard again.
I can dream can’t I!?

Signing Kogonlo would be a great start. Some player. 24 years old and he has been very good for us. He is not the finished article but is definitely a rough diamond. Loved second half when Watford broke, referee pulled it back for a foul to Watford and he absolutely crunched the lad trying to break just after the whistle was blown. Have loved watching him this season - Chris Lowe is one of my favourite players from last season but Terence looks a step up.

Would’ve thought most established players at Southampton and Stoke would break our wage structure.
But Shaqiri would be amazing. Failing that Tadic would be an improvement on any of our wingers.
Would prefer us to get a few star players from clubs like Bruges, Feyenoord that most people have never heard of. To buy real quality from England would cost too much for our budget.

If Aston Villa don’t get back up I’d like Town to go for Robert Snodgrass - realistic target I reckon, PL experience, makes and takes goals, good crosser.

Don't think DW is going to change it so if Snodgrass can't get back to do the hard yards then he wouldn't go for him, no matter how good he is round the box.

I though he wasted a fair bit of ball for them with wrong decisions. One or two loose passes later on but the guys energy and determination to make things happen. Mental wise he’s very strong imo-he’s someone who looks like he’s used to winning. He’s a modern prem midfielder- touch, move, pass, touch move all at pace. Very fit lad, reads it well in attack and defence. . He would be a great addition to us imo. Not that we could get him or beat his current wages, I wouldn’t have thought. I thought today his colleagues were not fully sharing his enthusiasm to get a goal, save pereya who I also thought stood out along with doucoure. In shirt I’d be very happy to welcome any of Watford’s first team midfield to the John Smiths. 😂

Leaving aside who he used to play for (only Clyde was cured) Snodgrass is Championship level at best.

Tadic is on £80k a week according to Saints fans. I agree we shouldn’t get drawn in to taking expensive players off relegated teams books, that seems to be the budget bloat that gradually rots a club.

Will we still be a little fish in a big pond, fighting against all the odds if we splash the cash next season? What will DW say to motivate the players and explain to the media?

Part of me thinks we desparately need a Brunt, a Snodgrass, or even an Adam type who can put his foot on the ball and deliver quality when it matters. These players often aren’t the best athletes but we so desperately lack creativity. My hope is finding someone like Robertson from Hull to come in and deliver quality from fullback on the overlap or deep crossing wide position because I agree, I can’t see Wagner going for a more traditionally built footballer shall we say.

I think we need to set our standards a little higher than some of the names mentioned so far if we want to push on next year (assuming we stay up). Brunt, Snodgrass, Allan, Long, surely we can do better than that even with our budget.

Most Def, for my part I was referring to someone with prem experience who delivers quality, but not much of a runner- would Wagner sign a player like that?
