By 'that Tottenham right back' I presume you mean Jaden Brown, the left-back, instead?
The Sheffield Star reported that Forestieri is out for 'a minimum of six weeks' having torn his hamstring (06.12.18). Make of that what you wish.

Would have been selected if they were Aussies. Ha I thought that too, but only based on the strength of the leagues that they play in. Juric has missed the squad based on game time. I'm pretty sure Kagawa and Okazaki wouldn't have been selected for Japan's Asian Cup squad if they'd been Aussies

Apologies if it has been mentioned but Danny Drinkwater might be available - not played for Chelsea for ages - attacking midfielder with a decent shot on him? Loan cover for Mooy/Williams?

Don’t know about incomings, but there are about 10 players in the squad I’d gladly never see play for Town again. Harsh perhaps, but true.

What no one is thinking is us losing our better players I can see bids in January for Billing - every club wants to improve and today again Billing stood out from the other 21 players If we get a panic buy offer - say £40m - and we lose to Burnley and Cardiff (which makes relegation almost nailed on) then there’s a permutation that we’d look to cash in for top dollar and use the money in the summer for rebuilding Sorry to bring more a further downer tonight

I think we could replace him for that much Half a season of Cesc Fabregas Or Hamsik ( that spikey haired lad) would be ok and they could have a substaintial wage too 😎

If we get that offer we should wrap him in cotton wool and drive him there asap! Done well but not that well....yet. The sad thing tonight if we are honest is who would want to come right now?!

Silly money gets spent in January by desperate managers/clubs - £40m may be a stretch but I could see a £30m offer

Going on the n/castle s/ton games ,Wagner more or less needs to bring in a new team that can get us out of the championship next season
We dont have enough quality in the team to keep us at the highest level

We're down. If I was Hoyle I wouldn't spend anything. Especially as it's highly probable that Wagner will be back in Germany next season

I doubt very much that Wagner or even Rebbe set the parameters for last summer’s business.
Kongolo, Bacuna, Sobhi, Mbenza & Diakhaby all 23 or under. We thought we could buy potential and cash in long term. It has failed massively.
I’m surprised that more hasn’t been made of the change in policy from the previous season.

I agree previously we signed established players in the 24 to 27 year old bracket - often team captains This summer it was all kids plus durm (the only proven success) We’d have been better getting the top championship players - some can step up like Mooy and Schindler and others can’t like ince and malone However the difference is we got our money back on ince and malone. I doubt we get the same money paid when selling back to french clubs as their league has less money, for example Mounies agent was talking a move to Marseille but it was said Marseille couldn't easily afford to even pay what we’d paid for Mounié!

Couple bits in the Sunday papers... Watford looking at Billing. I genuinely can't see us holding onto him in January. It's looking more likely we will go down so I think town will want to cash in. Macauley bonne a gamble from orient. I hope I'm wrong but if thats the kind of gamble we are taking then I give up.

Making a non-league striker your main transfer target would be another gamble.

Whilst watching the EFL highlights I found myself thinking that even some of the league 1 strikers would do a better job than what we currently have. Its a dire situation we are in. On a brighter note, Maupay scored a cracking goal and seems to be in a bit of form so fingers crossed we can get that one done. For next season if not this.

our mate on Sky {Merson} reckons we should dip into league one for a striker {I think he meant Champ.} Neal Maupay scored again yesterday, and is the top scorer.More mobile than our 2 put together.

I watched Hull last evening, the 2 wide players looked strong and direct.

I watched Hull last evening, the 2 wide players looked strong and direct. They're no good to us then. Only allowed backward and sideways passing.

Realistically we should probably be looking at players who'll be able to establish us as a playoff places sort of team in the Championship.
This was one of the reasons I thought selling Ince was daft, as underwhelming as he mostly was. It was very unlikely we'd stop up for long and he's exactly the sort of player you'd want on the books when the inevitable happened. Fair enough if we had an absolute banker to spend the money on, but we very clearly didn't.
I doubt proven Championship quality will be seeing us as their first choice when we go back down so to me it made sense to try to attract those sorts of players while the going was good. Norwich tended to do similar when they were yo-yoing between the divisions and it worked pretty well for them on the pitch as well as avoiding any trouble financially.

The rumour seems to be Decoure to PSG from Watford with Watford looking at Billing to replace him.
PSG certainly have a few quid, if we could direct a large chunk of their cash to our bank account we could do some pretty major rebuilding.
