Bad day all round.Three points I took from today.
1.Im sick off Flo feigning injury. 2.We should have lost by 5 goals. 3.I like being in the Premier League and on we go.

First live match this season. Depressing experience.
Everything was wrong. I'm not a manager but before kick off I said without Hogg or Williams and with only two midfielders, both of who are ball players but not tacklers, Redmond would weave his way round and between us.
First half there was no plan, no attacking shape, just long balls to two strikers who can't jump, and occasional chips forward for Mbenza to lumber after it and watch it reach their keeper
Second half was a bit better and when kachunga came on and we suddenly had three attackers across the front there was a bit of shape and structure to the attacking, and suddenly, hey presto, the full backs were able to attack to. It was almost like last season, the one in which we survived,
But how is it possible for professional players at any level to cross a football so poorly, sometimes as though it weighs as much as a medicine ball?

The more I watch him, the more I am convinced we got rid of the wrong left back.
Malone wasn't great but at least he had some pace and actually attempted to take a man on. Lowe is far too slow and weak to cut it at as a Premier League left back. Never seen a player turn back so much in possession and look scared of being tackled.
