The REAL measure of just how bad it has become was the fact that Quaner - who doesn't even have a squad number - was on the bench ahead of RVLP and big money signing Diakhaby yesterday. How poor must they both be? Just checked and seen that CQ has squad number 23. Who was it that came in and swiped his shirt? Quaner was 23 last season.

No fucking about with this one. Don't care what has gone on in training or behind the scenes. Let's get these new lads playing the formation they were brought in to play. You don't get signed by Monaco nor play for Belgium U21s if you're a mug.
--------Lossl Durm Zanka Schindler Kongolo ------Hogg Billing Mbenza Pritchard Diakahby -------Mounie
Front foot, attacking football that we saw when DW arrived. Give Soton something to think about, because based on their impressive display against Arsenal yesterday we will struggle to keep a clean sheet.

honestly we'll get beat if we don't change it up big time. They're scoring goals. We could still be playing and not have scored against Newcastle.

I am expecting us to play the same formation as Saturday but with mounie and maybe Durm playing but hoping Wagner sees sense. Southampton are now being asked to press and play the sort of football we used to play. We should be better than them at it given we have been doing it for three years.

I'd play the team Harris7 suggested. But we'll end up with Mounie & Durm in and the same formation, sadly.

3-1 to Town. Kick the Town into a festive mood for the big OT game (could well be similar to the Arsenal game) & then onto Fulham in good spirits...

Hasenhutti certainly injected new energy & belief into the Saints overnight, a bit like DW did when he arrived, 2018 can't end soon enough for Town, but lets hope this weekend its DW jumping about on the touchline, leaving 'King Ralph' with a blank expression & arms folded.....it is Xmas, c'mon Town!

Last time we played 4-2-3-1 we won 4-1. Bournemouth and Boscombe Athletic at home last season. Scored 4 goals at home since.
Surely people can see the reason why we look good and confident in the back two thirds is because we totally outnumber the opposition in these areas. That's why Pritchard is always surrounded by 5 men.

DW needs to organise an afternoon in the local ale house for the team. He can follow VLP & Diakhaby to the bogs to ‘clear the air’, any other niggles in the squad can be sorted out in the car park. Wheel a karaoke machine in and get the whole lot belting out some classic Slade in the early hours. Make each and every player feel like their balls are the size of baked potatoes and they are all vital for the cause. Then chuck the beast 11 on the pitch on Saturday with a bit of freedom. Let them off the leash, tell them to bomb on and unleash hell.
4-0.

I'am hoping world War 3 declared before next Saturday so the league will be suspended and it'll give us more of chance of getting a squad rebuild when the dust settles.

Play like you did against us (Bournemouth) and I don't see why you should lack confidence. Before you go overboard about our local rival's sudden discovery of their shooting - or in this case heading - boots have a think about the so-called defence they were facing. A combination of a half-fit Koscielny, Lichsteiner and Xhaka and a goal keeper who seemed to have taken leave of his senses would have given your lads a couple of goals as well. Your defenders are a heap better than that. Not saying you will win but your chances seem a sight better to me than some of you seem to think.

Thanks for the positivity, we`ve just had four defeats on the bounce by the one goal, we know we`re not a terrible team, we`re just not quite there...ie scoring goals. Its frustrating more than anything, fine lines and all that.

A solid back 4 of durm zanka schindler kongolo Don't ask them to push forward let everyone else do this holding a good solid back line giving everyone else licence to attack in a 4231

Just been listening to the great Matty Glennon, 74 % possesion and not scoring is a premier record. Surely Wagner can see what is wrong, no bugger on the end of it ?

Agree 4231 with wingers would be good to see but not holding my breath. Suspect DW will hope Mounie will do the job.
However, I thought Pritchard seem to drop a bit deeper on Sat more often. Wonder if DW will consider going half way by playing another attacking player up with Mounie, play Pritch behind them and having 2 instead of 3 holding midfielders.
