It’s honestly a waste of debate discussing if we may have Mooy next year. He’s had interest from West Ham, Everton, Southampton. Newcastle and more in the past year, the only thing keeping him here was our PL status.
Just look how effective he is to us e.g. Wolves and then compare to how much of a loss he’s been when out. You can bang on about loyalty all you want but he’s only human and without a doubt a very driven footballer who will want to show his worth again in the top level next year.

Loyalty is a two way street.
I feel that our chances of keeping some of these lads left with DW.
And the majority of chat on here seemed to turn on DW despite limited resources and having to deal with the biggest fixture congestionbif the season without our best player and I guess his number 1 replacement (Williams).
I don’t want to make this a Wagner narrative but that crop of players had achieved incredible things together and I suspect that offers of prem ball along with the end of an era is most likely the foundations for a rebuild.
Although I do agree with the sentiment from the op about Mooy being a figure that is down to earth and not your typical money and self obsessed modern footballer.

I think the only way Mooy will stay is if he doesnt get a better offer, non of this loyalty bollocks,he needs to play at the highest level keep his international manager happy too.

I think there will be bids for him and he will probably go for PL football
But if its just down to wages, pay it. Would be well worth the 2m or so out of the budget

I imagine there's plenty who like it, but there's no accounting for taste! I personally think it's one of the worst of the major beers (though not as bad as XXXX). But you're right, it's pretty slim pickings in Oz.

You’re all missing the fact Man Citeh are due a % of any sell on also, as well as the buy back clause. We’ll need to inflate the price a touch if we want a realistic price.

He doesn't though does he? Hes their best player whether hes in the champ or PL. International aspirations will sometimes be a factor for players but not in this case. He's their best player, well established, they need him in every game and they know it.

'On his day' isn;t how other clubs will rate him though. They'll look at his normal game. I think we'll get interest from prem clubs for him and would expect him to leave for £15- 20m, but I think anyone outside the top 6 wanting him is an exaggeration. I think the newly promoted clubs or a burnley or Newcastle if they stop up would be most likely. Hes a prem player but a bottom end one IMO. You really think there are many who wouldn't be interested? I think he gets in nearly all of their starting 11s. Wolves may have enough in there already. But for the other 12, where wouldn't he play?

Stick this kid in any decent ball plying team and he would be world class every week. Better ball player than Pogba and Fernandinho IMO. As good as he has been for the terriers we haven’t seen the absolute best from him on a consistent basis because he has been doing to much donkey work, which is indicative of a lower placed Prem team. I hope he stays but I would be shocked if a mid table prem team doesn’t snap him up. Take a look at the aus v France game at the World Cup he was a beast in that game.. if he had a Brazilian last name he would get much more recognition.. joy to watch this kid

I guess we'll lose many Aussie fans (like Wanderer) that we gained when we signed Aaron in the first place, it's typical for us Poms that the Aussies won the last Ashes series with their cheats (caught later) playing a full part while Aaron was with us.

I will still follow the club keenly after Aaron leaves, whenever that is.
There could easily be other Aussies playing at the club in the future, they're not all donkeys playing over here in Oz. In fact there's one central midfielder in particular I like Riley McGree, who's quite versatile and I think definitely up to Championship standard.

[br I am not going to stop supporting the terriers, I have actually become very fond of them I think the supporters are some of the best in the country

In my defence I didn't say ALL Aussie fans and I was referring to Wanderer as an Aussie fan, NOT that we'd lose him specifically.

TBF, it wouldn’t be a true Aussie - Pom relationship without some banter 😉 Besides, I’m sure you were doing the ‘nah, I know nothing about cricket, I’m Canadian’ by 3-0 down 😉 Getting it in early because this years Ashes won’t be 5-0 😂

Great to see him back in training, we've missed him massively.
I see he won't be getting a late call-up for the Australians either seen as they got knocked out yesterday.
If he's been back in full training a week I can't see any reason why he can't atleased make the bench against Everton?

What Pogba lacks in skill he makes up for it with arrogance.
Good player but struggle to see the hype that makes him over 10 times the value of Aaron Mooy?

It seems odd that someone is allowed to referee on a student visa but he wouldn’t be allowed to actually play professionally?
