Can't seem to find him on any of the images on the town website. From the town website; 25 players have made the trip including Billing, Mooy & Sabiri who'll continue their recoveries of respected injuries with the rest of the squad. Oh thank God. Don't know how much longer we can cope without Sabiri.. mind you Marstons was quieter with him away.

They are there for the taking so it's the perfect time to play us. Everton win. Same result as last season i reckon.

Yes - they were dreadful last season and it looked like our last hope of any points but we still lost comfortably. We are worse and they are better and will be hurting after Saturday. Probably nil-something (1 or 2 though they got 5 at Burnley)

Zanka says Siewerts style is more attacking than previous and has an emphasis on scoring goals. I can see us doing something in this game. All the players should be out to impress the new manager. Everton are a good team but they didnt impress against Millwall and they had a few of their names in the line up. If Millwall can score 3 i would fancy us to do something..cmon you terriers⚽

It's being well drilled that's allowed us to avoid spankings this season. Tearing up what we're already good at is a risky strategy but I don't suppose we have a choice. It's over to the players I guess, Jan strikes me as less touchy feely than Wagner and I get the impression he's quite strict with his players. Hopefully they'll believe in him and be able to implement what he wants, if not this season may get a lot worse. Sent from my SM-G920F using proboards

He’s have played a fair bit if he’d have been fit whilst Mooy and Williams we’re out for sure!

Even if we do let more in, does it really matter if we score a few. We just need to snap out of the sleepwalk. No point whatsoever in maintaining the status quo now imo. What actually are we so good at? Losing narrowly?

I'm hearing the right noises imo.
More attacking Not worrying about the opposition.
We've got 15 cup finals. Anything can happen in a cup game as this weekend has shown.
Let's go for it!

Sent from my SM-G920F using proboards Setting up to avoid spankings hasn't done us much good this season tbf. We need to set up to win games which means more attacking impetus is needed. Most games this season we've played with 5 defenders 3 holding midfielders & 2 attacking minded players which has let to us being 10 points adrift & the lowest scorers in the top European leagues. I honestly don't know how the season can get 'alot worse' if we set up to actually try & win games?

I'm hoping for a tweak to the style rather than a complete change. I guess tomorrow we'll see! I remember the difference in Wagner's first game was huge. A win would be amazing for everyone! Wagner had 2 weeks away with the team begs his first game, Jan has had 4 days. He's making the right noises, but also has a few key players just coming back from lengthy injuries. So let's not expect too much too soon.
Still think we can get something out of this game though.

Sent from my SM-G920F using proboards didnt need a complete change in approach, just stop getting possession 30 times in a game and automatically looking backwards or sideways, it added up to huge periods in games where other than 'having' the ball nothing of any attacking nature happened for town and we need just about every positive intent to get a goal never mind a couple.. dont think fulham, burnley, southampton would have spanked us if we had actually gone totally gung -ho tonto...

Mbenza injured. We seem to be getting a lot right now. Good to see Mooy back in the 18.
Heres hoping Flo remembers how to defend tonight. Or learns.
0 wingers on the bench is inspiring...

Well, well - it's Jan's first line up and it looks like he's going for it.
Seems to me like a 4-2-3-1 as follows:
--------------------Lössl
Hadergjonaj----Zanka------Schindler-----Kongolo
------------------Hogg----Bacuna
Kachunga----------Puncheon------------Diakhaby
------------------Mounié
Mooy to come on at some point?

Diakhby instead of Mbenza - who doesn't even make the bench
