that is what dean as been and yes they wont go silly but they will spend so lets move on If we don’t spend a decent amount i’ll Be a bit disappointed given the amounts we may receive for players and the rest. Whilst the clubs future is of most importance I want to see a commitment to competing. But let’s move on..... 🤣 Agreed. However, it’s not always the price on the player, it’s having the scope to buy the right player. I would take 1 Grant at £2 million than 1 Sobhi at £5 million. Some of the idiots on here are only interested in the FIFA style football though and will expect we spend everything we have.

Good luck Dean , we all have memories but I met dean with my son in a Costa 100 miles from town and he couldn’t have been nicer . My son who was ten at the time saw him and went up before I could stop him and he was a total gent. Look after yourself Dean and thanks for everything

I’d like to see good quality young players bought personally along with the odd experienced pro. When you look at Norwich they spent about £4m for their team and that Varancic? Was about £650k! As for the FIFA players, if your an an adult who has time for that ffs.

Let's not forget that Dean was accused of being a poodle when he took over - I can only hope that PH can be as good a chairman as DH. DH's interview was key when talking about the best intentions of this club and if every decision is made with that in mind then we as fans can only support him. Yes we'd have loved to have a really big player with financial clout come in and take us to the next level but our first big money chairman made a complete mess of the club IMO BECAUSE he was not a fan and once things started going pear shaped he pulled the plug. As a fan base surely we would prefer a safe pair of hands to a boom/bust and quick to be gone billionaire take over. My real fears of the new owner being an asset stripper are definitely diminished given DH's minority stake and I'm surethat PH as a former young terrier will do his level best and we can only wish him the best of luck - Sadly we don't have a wealthier safe pair of hands to pass the banner onto given Dean's choice to leave. As a reminder of DH's announced arrival this classic post has been resurrected Who? Well if this is true and the shares aren't part of the sale then it doesn't surprise me. Town have been used, asset stripped and left to wallow in a sea of under investment during Davy's ownership. We're still crippled with the debt repayments on a stadium we own no part of. I suspect Davy has sold out to a poodle who will jump when Davy clicks his fingers as far as stadium issues are concerned.

Adios What a pathetic post from a fan/poster with the heart of lion - You and fans like you will not be missed! Don't let the door hit you on the arse on your way out!

25% retained by seller is usually at the behest of the buyer to ensure the transition period goes well and the senior management team are kept in place (off field). Dean will probably sell his shares in an agreed 2-4 year period depending on how things turn out. Hopefully they will still have some value by then.

Not that I'm advocating a cull or anything, but......

"serious interest from around the world" ...my arse Why not an attractive prospect for any investor good assets and parachute payments. In my opinion the next few years look good financially but the reality is after the parachute payments run out it will cost the owner to keep the club afloat. Most football clubs are bad from a ROI perspective.

Most football clubs are bad from a ROI perspective. If you add up all the revenue we will make in the next 3 years and the money for sales we could generate a buyer could pay his debt run the club on a decent budget and that includes bringing in new players and still make a tidy profit and still have the club to sell.

Yeah but as we saw when we were in the Championship before the club lost 5 million a year. In the short term player sales and parachute payments cover the losses but longer term they won’t so as I said return on investment from owning a club like ours is non existent. I am glad the new owner is a fan but I hope he has deep pockets.

Bought by a guy in football terms has no money. When the parachute payments run out and he has a championship or lower wage bill to pay he will be a busted flush. The club would need to shrink quite considerably if it doesn’t win promotion in the next three seasons.

I wonder if the other Premier league chairman will be having a whip round for a leaving present, as they did for Richard Scudamore
