After the NYD horror show the Cowleys quickly realised keeping clean sheets at home games was an absolute must, although not the most attractive football on show at times its proving to be the correct decision keeping out the 2nd & 3rd highest scoring teams in succession.
Cardiff will be hoping its 3rd time lucky for them tonight after our two previous opponents struck the woodwork, our boys will hope ladyluck will be with them again making it 3 cleansheets in a row, same back five with Hogg & OB in front & deep for 1st hour & then try to nick a winner, if not...…….I will defo take a 0-0. UTT.

UTT. the last time we scored more than one goal in a game for 3 games in a row was in our promotion season.., when we went 5 games scoring 2 goals or above...and won them all (including v Leeds)...Goals win games....let's just keep rattling them in....

We could/should have scored twice in the first few minutes on Saturday when our pressing of their defence/keeper twice got us in to good positions. That is true. But in general (and as the rest of that half showed) the tactic seems to be to try and stay solid for the 1st half of games then play football 2nd half. Wagner's tactics used to be, keep it tight for 80 minutes, then get at them when they're tiring ...

You and I remember 2 very different sets of tactics in the championship.

High pressing that led to 2 scoring opportunities.

I doubt we will find out but if a straw poll of my friends and family is anything to go by then I’m guessing it will be the lowest league attendance of the season by some distance tonight !! I’ve managed to convince my 75 year old dad that’s it not to be missed so I’m in for some grief on the way home if we don’t perform 😀

Swansea at home 1st season in Prem? Don't think they got in our half all game. 30 shots to 0; 82% possession; 679 passes to 169; 12 corners to 0. Score 0-0. Only Town.....

VLP getting Bruno booked after less than a minute set the whole momentum of the game.
