On the face of it yes it looks a great idea, however it would be unworkable at home as "an eviction policy is in operation for supporters who persistantly stand". However much we argue and disagree with this policy it is part of the ground regulations and the Police and club would also say it would put the safety certificate in jeopardy. Ridiculous I know, when you see away fans at it all the time, and I don't just mean large unmanageable support but also little breakaway groups like the Tranmere lot that should've been dealt with. Having said that it would be great to see it happen, why not give it a try at Peterborough, a great standing away end under cover within which a terrific atmosphere can be created.

And just to add to this too they will most probably be treated as a hooligan element police will be all over them like a rash but hey Lets go for it Why would it be classed as a "hooligan element" I cant see that at all. It would just be a bunch of folk going to support the team they love, doubt anyone who got involved would want to run around kicking ten bells out the opposision fans...... As for the other concerns with regards to standing etc etc. Im sure a bit of "give & take" could be worked out with the club with regards to this. If it takes off then i'd hope we'd be able to forge a good relationship with the club & iorn out any potential problems that could arrise. You scratch out backs, we'll scratch yours kind of thing. Obviously that would all come in time, but if something like this did take off, with the help of the HTSA then im sure things could be worked out to suit both parties.

Id be well up for this, would definately relocate my season ticket with a group to do it. Could make a sub section on this board to organise things . Good luck with it, really hope it comes off!

Good Idea Pozza i would agree with liversedge fc you only need half a dozen to get nicked and the ball is over the wall the lads would all be tared with the same brush shame cos all we want to do is up the atmosphere

Know what your saying, but why would anyone be getting knicked? For what reason would anyone have to arrest anyone?
Away games could cause a bit of a problem I agree, but all i'm thinking off is getting the atmosphere going, not trying to start a full scale riot everywhere we go!

down at swindon the town fans were superb, sang all thru match and players kept coming over after goals, makes such a difference, obviously the 400 fans that were at swindon are really loyal fans so will always get behind the lads.

I think this is an excellent idea. Start it off at the Yeovil game in the South Stand and make sure you've got a good repertoire of songs to last the duration.

how about you order a coach/minibus to peterboro, seems to be quite a lot of people going, surely we could get 16,24,33 or 52 people ( depeneds what size you decide ) to go ?

the jorvic reds take coaches to most away games, they use your basic value style coaches and run them cheaper than their club coaches due to them being less luxurious, but they are a good laugh and always lively. i was with the jorvic reds for their display at Altrincham last season and it was a brilliant atmosphere, although the stewards in the conferance are alot more leniant than they are in this division.
there are some local coach companies who will do football trips so maybe an idea worth looking into for future away matches, maybe a DATM coach or something along those lines, i'd definitely be up for travelling on one,

Its not like we need all the banners etc at this early stage, just getting everyone sat together would be a start. Would also look good having loads of us all enter at once... just a thought.

Yeah but i bet you're still going to get a fair share of people going in who dont really sing and are just going in to try the south stand out. Would be better if all singers could be together

paul's travel is a perfect option, cheap and cheerfull, the buses are basic but you get what you pay for, plus the drivers do let you have a few beers as long as no1 takes the pi**.......
we have used them for town matches and a few trip's from local club, and never had a problem.
im pretty sure we would be able to get a good deal sorted out with them if we put it to them...............

Just a bit of a tip for you if you are wanting to get an atmosphere going - have some of your group down at the front. It will encourage others to join in when they can SEE the others singing, bouncing around and having a good time etc. and have other groups together in other parts of the stand to spark things around them. The barmy army group that follow the England cricket team do this and it gets things going all over. They do have a band (trumpeter is cool) and a good repetoire of funny songs though.

All comments, suggestion & criticisms taken on board. I'll have a think about things over the next couple of days & stick up a post up with any intended plans in here or any progress made. Once again, any ideas PM me. I dont just want this to be a "one man band" organisation

A one man band would be good for atmosphere though if you could run to that?
Quite possibly it'd be a unique experience in the world of football.

to get this going it will take a while. so to start with you could start like a thread saying when and where to meet up. for a quick meeting before match or something. and get names and numbers down there??
Just an idea

Good idea mate. Got a few other ideas on how to spread the word in my head an all which i'll be doing in the up & coming weeks. Now, does anyone have an idea for the name of the group? I quite like "Blue Army" but its not very inventive. Anyone any ideas? Needs to be quite short and catchy mind. If it takes off then i'll probs design a simple logo to go with it

Blue Army is ok but maybe a little overused in football circles and not particularly unique.

"Cowshed Boys" was another idea, but it might annoy the older folk as half the folk in the group will probs have never even been to the Cowshed ;D As for Kenmargara, I have no idea what your on about

I've just heard a few people mention it in conjunction with away day coach trips - kenmargara day it was referred to I think? The name I guess needs to be something unique to Huddersfield although Cowshed Boys doesn't really have that ring to it either It's a tough un.

Huddersfield Revolutionists...
...would perhaps encompass the positive and large scale change in behaviour that you're attempting to foster?
