Things like this are usually down to boards, decisions, phone numbers, figures and whether the lights are green.....but having said that there'll always been those who are never happy. Now it's much clearer Is it? I still dont have a clue if this is just some people having a bit of fun or if there is some substance to it. And how anyone could be unhappy to replace ternent with boothroyd would be beyond me.

If there are people at the club who are stopping any such deal from happening then its a joke to be honest. I hope you mean its not that simple because he might not be interested, not because davy and his puppet watson want to keep stan.

Without a shadow of a doubt, Aidy Boothroyd is one of the best straight-talking, forward-thinking, results-proven young managers there is.
To have him at Town would not only provide the shot in the arm that is so desperately needed, but also re-ignite the excitement to our centennial season.
Pleeeeease let it happen!

He probably means that severance contracts might have specific clauses, there's always red tape in deals like this......but also the desire of the outgoing chairman to spend more of his money when he just wanted a quiet few months may have an effect....but where there's a means, there's a way.

Well this can be Ken's way of returning the money we will miss out on in future years from nicking our shares in the stadium

What a load of toss! Boothroyd got lucky in his first season and done nowt since. LOL Yeah, I remember thinking what a spawny 3-0 hammering they gave Leeds in the play offs. You can win a game by being lucky ( we did 2 days ago). But you don't get lucky promotions! theyve been on a downward spiral since because they keep selling their best players to balance the books. Thats why he's got fed up and left ( he hasn't been sacked, its mutual consent) You don't get to be invited to be part of the England coaching setup either if you're "lucky". Anyway, I've decided I'm backing Stan until the day he is no longer manager.

Deano must be quite persuasive. Just to throw a bit of balance in to this, watford have won only 12 of their last 48 games, thats dreadful even by Stan's standards.

Can't agree with that, Steve McClaren got the top job because he fluked a couple of 4 goal come backs in the uefa cup

Once the HDone project is complete does KD have any further need for them if the project is a success and brings in revenue for himself (KDSL!) and KSDL. He may return them having gotten what he wanted in the first place out of them.

I can debate with the best of them at times but I'll be done like a kipper if I have to defend any decision to give Steve McLaren a decent managers job.

1. Most managers have at least one good season in them, even Wadsworth did at Carlisle! 2. All new managers are a gamble! 3. All sackings are a gamble! 4. I'm supporting Stan until he goes. Whether i like him or not, i'm not in the best position to say whether he stays or goes! Chanting "time to go" does no good at all. But if he went i wouldn't be dissapointed either

100% behind Stan.
I must confess to being all ears over these latest rumours though.

I really hope this is on the cards, would be a fantastic appointment and a real statement of intent from the board.

I asked Dean Hoyle at the Southern Patrons meeting before the Swindon game if he saw any prospect, in the future, of Town getting their original 40% share in the stadium back . His response was an emphatic "no" and he made it clear we should move on. I saw Mids last Saturday and I enjoyed our chat. Interesting!

Its true mate, just been to the 3 Nun's pub and saw someone who looked like Dean Hoyle talking to a bloke, couldn't see who it was though. They both jumped in a car so I ran out to follow them, they drove straight to the Town ground. Both went inside, expect to see a new manager announced tomorrow ;D ;D ;D Now that is wild speculation

just seen dean hoyle pay for aidy boothroyd's burger king at watford gap. overheard aidy say that if deano chipped in for large meal he'd knock off 20% of his salary demands.

Would be absolutely fantastic in my opinion. Would certainly bring the crowds back and I'm sure he'd be a success here. Its a dream though and I think thats all it'll ever be. No doubt some other club will get him and we'll stick with Stan. Maybe he will turn it it around but my money would be on Boothroyd to do better!

Put Boothroyd in above Stan as Director of football,
Stan would surely throw his toys out and quit

lets face it nobody knows anything regarding ternents future on this board. Who in their right mind who runs a football club would tell supporters thst they're going to sack the manager in a few weeks/months and replace him with someone else. i think stan will turn this situation around at town given time, but in football time is of an minimum. fans want success and they want it yesterday!!!!
