Over reaction or what?!!? I've seen barely any posts mentioning Flynn since he's been out of the team, now he's sent out on loan for one month it seems that Flynn has turned into Stevie Gerrard whilst driving up the A1

Don't see what all the fuss is about. Murphy obviously thinks he has enough decent midfielders already, so why shouldn't flynn go somewhere else and play some games?
Once we get a new manager in he can decide if he wants flynn or not

HHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!! LOL!!!!
what an abosolute farce this season is turning out to be.
micheal flynn. far better than jon worthington, micheal collins, ian craney.
shows for the ball, tackles, passes, scores, breaks into the box, shouts on the pitch. applauds the fans after the game,
has gone to darlo on loan. WHAT AN ABSOLUTE FARCE> . if this was a player falling out with stan we'd all be up in arms. whilst Gerry gets away with loaning out are best midfielder because he spoke up about wanting stan to stay.
thats the way it seems to me.
i;ve got news for you gerry lad, take a look at what collins contributes to 90 mins of football then take a look at flynn.
WE NEED A NEW MANAGER QUICKLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
bloody nora. am bloody fuming.

Not too surprised to be honest. Story of his career - stan goes, flynn goes soo after. Why expect different here?
I said when we signed him that stan would have taken him to leeds, the dog and duck or chelsea no matter who he signed.
The dressing room mole perhaps?
Disappointing in that he's played ok, scored a few - a good squad player, no more. Perfect for a central 3 though, poor in a 2, did a job out wide. Can't defend, pass and is slow but always likely to score and decent in the air.
The team's more important than flynn though imo and we have too many midfielders and stan's used up the budget.

I couldn't give a shit if he was stans mole. Yeovil at home he was the only one who came and clapped the fans off.

Not too surprised to be honest. Story of his career - stan goes, flynn goes soo after. Why expect different here? . Story of Flynn's career?! How do you work that out? Flynn was a late arrival in the professional game. Was it Barry Town he came from? (Ternent wasn't ever at Barry). He signed for Wigan (no Ternent!), left for Gillingham and worked with Ternent there. Left Gillingham two years after Ternent. Moved to Blackpool, from where he joined us. (Ternent wasn't at Blackpool with Flynn, so how can him leaving Gillingham two years after Ternent make it the story of his career!!?? I think Flynn is a very good midfielder and if it is for personal reasons that he has left for a month, then it's a shocking decision. If it is genuinely to get his fitness back, then fair enough, although he's only been out a little while, so I wouldn't have thought that his fitness was too bad. It seems a bit fishy to be honest. Flynn is the type of midfielder we need to be keeping as leaders aren't that plentiful in our squad!

It's a shame but Flynn's a "bad apple", according to Murphy i'd think. He is the manager and as long as he is in charge Flynn being away from the club must be a good thing.
Whether the new manager thinks the same remains to be seen, but he can't be the only "bad apple" which says to me the squad Stan has left us with could take some correcting.

Theres more too it than his fitness, when I was talking to Gerry just before turnip went, Gerry was saying a certain player would run to Stan with various things when he heard things from other players and staff at Town, Im thinking that person was Flynn... then he gets a small injury and suddenly goes out on loan when he is good enough to be in our team, its obvious why he has gone on loan, and to a 2nd division side...

Does that make him as bad as the supposed 5 players who went to Hoyle to complain about Ternent!!!
Sounds like a fecking kindergarden down there!!!!

The fitness explanation must be complete tosh. There are half a dozen other players who have played less than Flynn of late. I hope we don't suffer a couple of injuries and see this decision bite us on the ass. Although regardless of the unforeseen he should be here fighting for his place. Predictable & disappointing.

Its still a joke at our club, why not let malvin go on loan somewhere instead of our best midfielder, stupid imo.
so boothy out til at least january, beckett leaves...
parker suspended 2 more games, jevons is shit !
ldenton on loan, left with cads, broadbent , parker when back,
what a shambles !

Absolute joke of a quote from GM - he has gone for positive reasons and to get match fit!!! The wages savings should be spent on a pinoccio mask for Murphy - Jesus he has missed 3 weeks all season - cadamarteri misses that in a single month and he still stays and is called back into the fold immediately!!!! The decision making at the club currently is unbelievable. GM says he doesnt want the job and is only helping out - 3wks later, beckett gets paid off, clarke and flynn go on loan to league 2 sides and two young lads go on loan also. If he doesnt want the job then how has he had the power to let 5 players leave either permanently or on loan??? Never mind eh - more room for his boys to come and sparkle one game in four!!! Totally and utterly fed up with the whole club - DH must curse the day he got involved!

Reminds me of the first time Murphy was in temporary charge and lumbered us with Nathan and Tom Chuckle (amongst other Academy dross) on long-term contracts.
I knew this would happen under Murphy. Very gradually he's managed to shoehorn his Academy lads back into the side and has now dispatched the 2nd best midfielder (after the excellent Goodwin) on loan to some godforsaken northern wasteland.
Clarke, Holdsworth, Berrett, Skarz, the appalling Collins all started on Tuesday with Worthless and Broadbent coming off the bench. The result - loads of pretty but ineffective square passing, a home defeat to a crap side, yet St Gerry's boys get clapped off by the majority of the fans. Unbelievable. If that had been a Ternent side the crowd would have been murderous.
Can we all just wake up please? In his role as Director of Football Development Gerry Murphy has presided over the last 3 years of abject mediocrity and stagnation. He's setting about reinstating as many of his failed Academy products into the first team as possible. Make no mistake, if Young and Hardy were still on the books they'd be in the squad too.
We need the new boss, whoever it is (as long as it's not Gerry Murphy Junior), as soon as possible to limit the damage that Murphy and his vendettas are doing to this club.

Do you all still think Stan was wrong....about the culture of the club needing changing, it seems to me(and always did), that dean has backed the wrong man.
I said when Stan went that it could prove to be a mistake, todays events show how right I was

Cheers Shawsie.
I'm livid about the situation at Town now.
It's like Groundhog Day - Murphy comes in as caretaker, his boys get their comfy places back in the side, he decides who comes and goes, we play some attractive yet powderpuff football, chug along in midtable, most of the fans love it because Uncle Gerry's BACK!!!!
Job's a good 'un.
Only it isn't, is it?

Bottom line is..........IF THINGS DONT CHANGE THEN WE WILL NEVER BE ANYTHING OTHER THAN A MEDIOCRE LEAGUE 1 CLUB.

Stan was just a muppet to be fair and we would be in a worse position in the league right now if he had stayed.

I'm only really annoyed about the Flynn move. The 2 lads going to Woking makes sense and clearly Beckett has a personal issue to think about....as well as not really contributing much over the past couple of seasons

maybe, i doubt it to be honest, but at least had he been backed by the board then things would have improved, look at Alex Ferguson he is as old skool as you get, its worked for him, if old skool is being authoritarian and instills discipline then it works look at the national side under cappello, yes a world of difference maybe but the approach has worked.

I still don't understand how scoring 5 goals makes him our best midfielder. He will score goals but he can't tackle, he can't defend, he's slow, can't play in a central two and can't pass. 5 goals is clearly beneficial, don't get me wrong, but in terms of adding to setting the tempo, controlling the game, dominating the games- i.e. consistently, he doesn't offer enough. (You could however, say that about most of our midfielders, all good at something, but not enough good at enough things except the one at rwb). But 5 goals in a losing team doesn't mean much does it?
But he is a good squad player, who gives his best - and for clapping happily, he's loved on here.
As it is, I quite like flynn, he's one of the few that has been consistent, put 110% in wherever stan stuck him.
I know full well my point wasn't statistically correct - I didn't use any stats! But the point I was making, was that flynn and lucketti were stan's men. He would ahve signed them anywhere.
Collisn and craney can't defend - they'd need a goodwin alongside them.Worthy is better box to box so would need a playmaker who can hold i.e. like berrett. But worthy with collins, worthy with craney, flynn with worthy, etc ddoesn't work. Nothing to do with his quality, as I say, he's a useful squad player, who will undoubtedly chip in with a few - but we needed a winger and full backs and a big striker and we signed another cm and another and another.
Someone was going to have to give, flynn's taken his bat and ball home and gerry's taken his by the sounds.
Nobody seems to have mentioned the dressing room - no I in team. It was documrnted stan had his own moles in there, his tell tales, and it doens't take a genious to work out who's who. I honestly don't know whether other players disliked flynn or whether he was the route of the split between the players but he was stan's man and that was also widely known.
