If true, I think that would be an excellent acquisition. He's still a raw talent but I think he has great potential. I get the feeling Town fans were undecided about him but I rate him and while his heading ability isn't brilliant he's a big strong lad who gets in amongst 'em. I honest think £500k would be a snip.
Mind you with Leeds Utd sniffing around he's more likely to go there (you know what agents/players are like!)

very undecided myself. would keep an open mind if it happens, but personally, if I was going to spend that much, think I would actually prefer Graham or Porter. most likely the daily mirror is confused between the yorkshire post codes

Would rather have Danny Graham for that money tbh, but would still be happy to have Dickinson should his attitude be altered.

Dickinson, you say? Perhaps Leeds bagged themselves a barg'n and signed this chap: According to his past, him and Bates should get on like a house on fire as well.

Good signing if it comes off. He scored goals under Turnip so going by the Lee Clark effect, i would assume he will be much more effective than he was back then! He scored goals in what can only be described as a team playing total crap at the time and i think he would relish playing for Town now- he is just what we need.

Considering he's already been here, and knows what we're about, this is probably our best chance of actually pulling off a striker signing yet. Especially if Clark et al, get to sell him the post Ternent HTFC.

I'd be happy with this.
Although David Dickinson for 500k would be cheap as chips.

Probably just about worth £500k as he's still young. But wouldn't want to pay anymore.

Half of what Derby bought him for.
He scored goals when we were playing terribly so I think he will bag a few if he came here with all the chances we are creating.
I'd say the way we are playing would be a dream for a competant striker.

He always made the right noises but I suppose they all do when on loan don't they? Hopefully he'll have one or two of the players mobile numbers and they'll be selling him the current set up.

Head was down due to Stan's excellent man management, proof of that when he was subbed and stormed off perhaps.. So, we create more chances, he scores more goals? Personally, I wouldn't be unhappy for him to come here, scored a few for blackpool didn't he? Championship Quality? Who knows, but would definatley be good enough to bolster our attacking options for the reset of this more than salvagable campaign!? Can't understand why we WOULDN'T want him.

Dickinson has clearly split the fans in terms of opinion... who would you rather have in the starting line up with the chances we have
Dickinson ? Parker ? Jevons?

Dickinson was the focal point of the team, back then. The team (esp away) was set up around him to play to his strengths. Yet still we were rubbish. To think he wasn't part of the reason for our poor results seems a bit naive to me.

Liam Dickinson has been our most effective striker all season! Under the guidance of Clark & his staff I reckon he'd shine!

To think he wasn't part of the reason for our poor results seems a bit naive to me. Rubbish. The team clearly WASN'T setup for his strengths.. Why pump long balls up front, when his strength is NOT in the air. How many headers did you see him score? We might not sign another striker in this window due to interest from other clubs, in our targets. If we get only one, and that is LD I think we are better off with him, than without - surely?

Agreed well, that is a definate possibility, but equally, it may not be damn, just dont know.... this one does cause doubts, but, we will have to trust lee on this. suppose it would be easy to say he would be bound to score more than parker or jevons have been doing
