im very annoyed at been chucked out yesterday the 2 female stewards atthe back of the stand kept askin me to sit down so as normal i did, i always sit on the top of my seat ( as many other people do) and most normal stewards do not have a problem with this as i am sat down, not yesterday!
the 2 female stewards called 2 other jobsworths up and said i had repeatadly refused to sit down on my seat and was getting ejected, i seriously couldnt believe this, i am going to write a letter of complaint to the club i have this jobsworth name and number didnt catch the 2 females though.
also before the next home game they said i had to go and sign sum behaviour agreement of something they will be posting me a letter through.
this is really making me wonder is it worth all the hassle at home games to even bother going? i go to the majority of games home and away and never have any trouble, its just really got me angry!

harsh on you mate, especially as they seem to think making people on the back row sit down is vitally important, more so than making the away fans sit down (who no doubt werent even asked to do so,as usual)

I asked the reasoning why you'd been ejected and the 1st response i got was that you wouldn't sit down. I then followed down the concourse and under the floodlights to ask the female steward why? and she replied you had been subject to being watched on cctv for a while and you'd also been foul and abusive to the 2 female stewards. If you want some character and witness support about this incident before you sign this behaviour order i'm more than willing to come with you. I asked around after you were ejected and most of them around you didn't hear you swear or use foul language. I saw how you were sat and with no-one behind you as you are the last seat i don't see what their problem is.

What a joke Scott! I didn't see any jobsworths asking the Millwall fans to sit down and the majority of them were stood throughout the entire game. Why pick on your loyal home customers and allow away fans to do what they want? If you were at the back and not obstructing anyone's view it's even worse. What is wrong with people? They obviously get off on causing confrontation and then bigging up their tin star authority. I'd certainly write in to Sean and complain about the way you were treated.

although its wrong what happened why are people suprised?football fans in general are treated like shit wherever you go,herded like cattle, given a section 27,stopped from going if the ob take a didlike to you and in some cases beaten by the police for no reason, like in bradford a few yrs back, polish hippy was there that day i recall, until people make a stand ,and i hope you do,nothing will change.

Common Sense!!! WHATS THAT THEN? Your average steward has common sense, but the type your on about just does what they are told OR makes it up as they go along! Few seasons ago i was told off for swearing by a steward,I challenged him asking how did he hear me when most people aroud said the same, He said 'I saw your lips move' I then said to him'F off and do something sensible instead of just picking on me' His response was 'ooooo errrrr' No more problem from him I'm not saying you should all do as i do but i think 'Common Sense' drifted through his lug hole.

Zero tollerence because it was the Millwall game maybe? Shouldn't be an excuse for OTT reactions from stewards IMO though.

Was you the guy in a pink shirt? no You can't of been only one kicked out yesterday then as i looked further down the Antich to see 4 stewards taking a guy in a pink shirt out of the ground and a few seconds late a police man went down

i sit around the areas where 2 people got thrown out and if either of them get banned its a god damn disgrace. as usual the stewards where totally ott,did you see them trying to get anybody to sit own at leeds game, did they hell of like. They got no backbone and just harrass the home supporters each week. Dean Hoyle needs to be told about this because at end of day if we left then who would support the team.

They keep harping on about the safety in the ground all of a sudden. If we keep standing up we cant go in the south stand!! What is it all about ?? If the person infront of you stands then are you just meant to sit there and look at the back of them? I sujest 1 game soon every1 in the ground stands all game and see how many they throw out then.

Maybe some HTSA representation or legal representation wouldn't go amiss. Waste of space talking to JR as he is a cock of the highest order.

Do we wish to be season ticket holders in the south stand? I do! Would our dreams be fulfilled if the south stand could be 'all standing' (without seats)? Mine would! As the stadium is designed as all seater, and it's safety certificate requires attendees to be generally seated; you will run the risk of been ejected if you do not sit (properly) because standing has been given an increased risk status by those in authority. Health and Safety rules override all other considerations, even logic. The stewards are just doing their job (poorly). So sit down! Impress those in authority that we can obediently occupy the south stand; it is the only way we get it, seated or terraced. I occupy the south stand when we can, and observe some persistently standing as if to show how they can ignore authority. It will achieve the reverse of what we want. Occasionally stand by all means, we all do; even persistently when match action requires it. It is annoying when those behind want you to sit, just as it is when those in front stand. But, to persistently not sit (properly) will not achieve anything positive under the circumstances. Leave the away fans standing, it is a good argument that home fans would be better behaved in the South Stand. The club will have league obligation regarding home fans conduct hence the unfairness in application of supposed Health and Safety rules. We all know such H & S rules are a nonsense; when was a fan, or those around, ever injured through standing in front of a seat. It is theoretically possible, as is Deep Vein Thrombosis through sitting for too long. So, we need to keep up the lobbying for the south stand. Be as obedient as we can to impress how low a risk it would be to have town fans in the south stand. Use the reverse H & S argument for standing, i.e. prolonged sitting is a danger to ones health (DVT) so that we can have the stupidity removed; i.e. be allowed to stand in front of our seats within the H & S rules, even stand throughout for the benefit of our health(on a terrace). The opportunity is there Scott, for you to defend yourself, and put a serious H & S issue to the club regarding persistent sitting and DVT risk, as a reason for why you and others should be allowed to (& perhaps did) stand.

How sad that one of the last facets of escapism from real life trials and tribulations (going to support your footie team...) is being watered down by these people.
Whatever the rights & wrongs of this, it's just real sad to see another nail in the coffin of common-sense. I'd even hazard a guess that the lid's firmly shut TBH, and it's just having the first lumps of soil chucked in...
Why can they not see the sense that putting all the folk who want to stand etc. in the same place is the best way to deal with this. At least them same fans wouldn't blink if they were asked to sign a disclaimer (or by entering that turnstile...) that stated they were waiving any right to claim anything from WYP, the club, KSDL etc. as they'd broken H&S rules. I really don't think folk would give a s**t.
And the ones that are happy enough to sit happily, can sit happily.
It really can't be that difficult can it? Look at where they put Sheff Utd's away fans...

Disclaimers do not work under EU law, in fact they can count against you for trying to remove your ' duty of care' which the law says you can not do. Examples of away fans location in manner grounds around the country prove that relocation of them at the Galf should be possible, and standing is safe in Germany where they are H & S obsessives! Taylor enquiry has a lot answer for!

I know it's not very macho of me but perhaps if you sat down, didn't use swear words and act in the way you did, you wouldn't have any problems. Just a suggestion I know, and I'll be hammered for it, but seems 99.9% of our spectators have never had any problems. It's only my view but when I'm sitting down on the seat provided, I hate it when someone stands up in front of me repeatedly and blocks my view. But then I get the impression that real supporters aren't supposed to sit down.

I'm with you Wigster. If you're told - repeatedly - to sit down then sit the fck down. If, after they've told you to sit down and you haven't, what do you think they should do? Ask you again? Get someone else to ask you? They'd look pretty stupid if they didn't take action after you ignore them asking you in the first place.

When you say "I always sit on the top of my seat" do you mean you sit on the top of the back of the seat with your feet on the seat?
If you do, i'm not surprised you got chucked out, and after being told not to and continuing, I can't believe anyone thinks you shouldn't have.
