Good idea that mate.
I think option 3 would appeal to a number of fans as they might not live in the Huddersfield area and not able to make the night matches for example. Would also help us with money coming in throughout the season an all as we'd make money on a weekly basis by people buying tickets for individual games.

exactly and also get the boost of them £50 coming in (Half of this seasons ticket price!)
so for example if someone went to every game on this offer (£50 + (23x8) = £234 in total.
and if season tickets were £230 then the extra £4 would allow the club to cover costs etc

Donnie brasco with your comments about sitting at back of antich and people swearing, I wonder if you are the same person, that someone on here posted about after the game two week ago, who was getting angry and shouting "stop swearing my sons only fucking 6 years old!" genius! I don't agree with discounted tickets for unemployed, but maybe something to help them? Perhaps chance to pay by direct debit? I know they can pay weekly on the gate but it's so much more expensive, or perhaps paying £100 initially, and then have to collect each ticket from ticket office with £5 to be paid each time? No that wasn't me. I find it completely wrong to swear in front of young children and i try and curb my language if there are any kids near me at games. I am on about the moron who sit on the back row of the Antich and spends the whole game swearing at the players and his family including a girl under ten. Very bright!!

£100 initially, and then have to collect each ticket from ticket office with £5 to be paid each time? The only problem with this is that the unemployed don't carry cash on them, just gin. And Carlsberg Special Brew

Why not charge full price for pensioners to offset some of the costs of discounts to the unemployed.

thing is with the discount card idea, there is no discount other than the matchday price. you end up paying the same as season ticket price, all it is, is a way of making it affordable. but the club get an instant influx of cash initially, then as it trickles in throughout the season. and if people really are struggling they save money by not going, but dont have to still pay as they would by direct debit. and obviously as the team does better more people would come. it may just make it appeal to more people.

It's all a bit obvious to me. Economies have risen and fallen on people being impetuous and wanting things NOW. When they can't afford them.. Football isn't a playground for sentiments of the past unfortunatley, much as I'd like some nostalgic institute that football was in past, I can't cause its moved on. It's a business.
Before anyone starts - I've been made redundant 5 times in my working career. The last thing Id want to do is go spend money I haven't got at town. Maybe some people would. I have, in the past, spent more than my means and had 25,000 reasons to not do it again!
If I can't afford it, then it means I can't have it. Life doesn't seem to be working like that anymore does it? We all want Dean to spend the brass, yet noone seems to be bending over backwards to give him some back. I think we need to be maximising our revenue streams as, shares issues or not, so we can have a successful club in the future. IMO of course.

There have been unemployed people since (even before) 1908, why are they only airing their grievances with regards season ticket prices now, a full century after the club was established?

Watching Football is a luxury. If you can't afford it you can't afford it. There are much more needed things then football food heating e.t.c.
But im sure season tickets will be fairly priced as will matchday tickets.

That option three sounds pretty good, but I'd make it a tenner, rather than £8. It'd take it up to £280 if all games were attended, just making a season ticket that bit more attractive. £50 less.

In fairness I expect season ticket will be up there too but yeah, it's another incentive to stick with season tickets and it's still be miles cheaper than paying everytime

What about £100- £125 tickets that enable you to choose 12 games to watch. Half price for half the games.
